Recently, the dreams that I remember having have been revolving around myself and a friend of mine, or so it would seem. I'll describe the dream in full detail, although a lot of it is probably superfluous.
The dream starts out where my friend and I are collecting herbs that are growing in a forest clearing. Pines and cedars seem to make up most of it, and by their size I'd say they were old growth. They're lobed (the herbs), I'm not sure what they are consciously, although they look familiar and I'll probably stumble across what they are eventually in some herbal book. The land is also rather hilly around us, lots of granite boulders I am conscious of in this forest too.
My friend and I both have weaponry with us in addition to the gathering baskets that we have. Both of us carry swords, but neither of us is wearing armour. The feeling is that we have been carrying weapons into the woods with us for a while now, a period of unrest perhaps or against wild animals. As the dreams continue the feeling goes more to unrest.
While we are minding our own business and talking to each other about things such as "the children" (I am aware of being wedded to this friend in the dream, but what a female is doing with a sword in the middle of the forest is debatable) we are slipping freely through several "forms," but this is usual for the dreams that I have containing him. Suddenly, a small group of samurai (masks and all) are descending on us from over one of the hills.
Why we're being attacked by a bunch of samurai I don't know, but it fits in with the clothing the dream always puts us in.
Naturally, the baskets of herbs are forgotten and our swords are drawn. He is shouting at me to get away and is also retreating (any where we run, it seems we're heading for high ground). They are faster than us though (inertia I guess, gravity works...) and overtake us. Several of their blows hit us (only one has his sword out that I can remember... the rest seem to prefer a bo, so perhaps their object is capture... although a big stick can still be deadly :-/) During the course of this, one of the attackers comes in between us and aims a blow at my friend. I try to stop the blow with my own weapon, but find myself taken from behind by someone else and disarmed.
I'm screaming for my friend, he's screaming for me, but I can't see him anymore.
That's normally where I wake up. This dream has started to continue from there though.
While I am struggling to get free and back to my friend (or should I use mate here... he's only my friend in this life, and I don't THINK we've spent a previous life together, although parts of this COULD be memory I suppose...) who seems to be entering some sort of crazed battle rage judging by what I hear going on, something hits me over the head and things go black. I'm aware of being taken somewhere though.
When I wake up, I'm stuck in a room. Where this room is I don't know yet, just that I REALLY don't like the feeling I get. Sort of like something is going to happen that shouldn't if I'm not careful about whoever is my captor.
I've been sleeping a lot lately now... and these are the only dreams that I remember when waking up. Every time it starts from the beginning, like I'm watching a movie, and then continues just a little bit further. I'm pretty sure that these are either all me, or me and him (my friend had one dream a bit ago where I attacked him with my sword, also in a forest). However, it's happened before with my dreams that I've picked up stuff from others too... *shrug* |

Ouch, that sounds painful. Could be symbolic of something. Makes me grateful that in my dreams if I am unable to obliterate my attackers that Abi-Hime can. |

yes, I'm female in the dream and the friend is male. If it's an alternate, it would explain the attraction between us at the start of our relationship here.
If this has happened, it could explain the repeated pains that he has on his right side, toward the back. He had been having them since before the dream, and I had said I would see what I could do to find out why. Perhaps this is it, or at least part of it... |
