Diane,
Firstly my condolances on the passing of your mom.
She sure made sure you knew she was around. She seems a very strong spirit. She must have been strong in life too, and I am sensing you got that quality from her as well :).
My mom also came around very strongly after her passing.
I do have a few stories of mom, but like you, none stands out as strongly as right after she passed.
One night I was making cookies, and I walked out of the kitchen for just a moment. I came back to find a picture of my daughter that I had given my mom when she was in the hospital, laying on top of the cookie dough. It even had the tack hole from where she had it on her bulletin board. The thing is, I had taken them back (there were two pics) when I was going through her things, and put them in my wallet.
So as again like your mom, my mom is a pretty strong spirit too, as in life. To take a picture out of a wallet, then move it, had to of taken alot of energy. There's nothing like the love of a mother is there. I also smell her perfume quite often. Tabu of all things. That can't be mistaken. I don't get it, but she loved the stuff. ;)
Thank you so much for sharing your story Diane. I think we are going to get along just splendidly :)
To our moms
(who are probably reading over our shoulders ;)
