Our dreams are for many of us an untapped source of wisdom, inspiration, problem solving, and connection to the spirit world. They are a God given gift that most of us don't even unwrap! There are a few things, that can make dream work even more helpful and fascinating.
Dreams are a link, a bridge if you will, between the physical and the spiritual parts of self. Through our dreams, we can access our higher self, gain guidance, and we can also handle very practical physical world concerns such as, 'where did I leave my car keys'!!!
Our dreams expose our fears so that we can address them. They show us what is bothering us, often before we are consciously aware of it. Your life will feel more on track, more connected, more in tune with the Infinite tomorrow, if you pay attention to your dreams tonight.
Many very famous people have used their dreams for all kinds of AMAZING purposes, like Thomas Edison and his many inventions, to artists, composers, architects and surgeons who received colors, and inspirations for all manner of improvements. By the way, it was a dream that helped him invent the light bulb!
So Thomas Edison was really stumped... he wanted to create a light source. He was working with heating a wire and putting it into a jar to illuminate, but the wire would burn up quickly in the air. What to do? He tried, it is said, over 1000 things! Finally one night a dream... he dreamt of coal. Coal you ask? :) Yes, coal.
You see, coal is created, by burying wood that has been set on fire, under the earth to remove as much as possible of the air! Edison used a vacuum to remove most of the air from the jar, and there you have it, a light bulb. Imagine a world before electric light? No night time golf... LOL no baseball at night... no mall shopping. Well, you get the idea ...
All of our lives were changed forever by one invention that was solved through a dream! The best part is, we can all use our dream for amazing things. Amazing new research has opened this subject up and handed science undisputable, beautiful fact that is so powerful. We will all be using our dreams a lot more in the future!
Prophetic Dreams - Many people do of course have dreams that come true. It has been measured that approx. 12% of all dreams come true. Some are very personal in nature, others reflect world events. People who have prophetic dreams, claim that this kind of dream feels much different than 'regular' dreams. They are more vivid, feel more real.
If the dream refers to a world event, such as when Princess Dianna died, so many people had dreams of her passing, it was amazing! Of course those dreams can be verified by the news. Other dreams can be verified by family, or friends. The question often is, 'If I dream about someone whom I know, should I tell them is it a warning?' This can be tricky.
If you genuinely feel that you have dreamt a warning, I suggest that you follow your heart. But you might start with 'hi honey, how ya doing?' not 'Oh my God, I had a horrible dream!' You see dreams are much like meditation, they open you up to the spirit realm, and indeed we get messages from ourselves and for others. I often dream for clients, and clients often say that I am in their dream helping them to understand or guiding them!
But if you dream about something awful, do not think for a second that you have caused this thing in any way. Some people actually feel responsible for the dreaming. If you choose to acquire the ability to dream ESP, you can. If you would like prophetic dreams to stop, you can turn them off too. Many people are very sadly afraid to go to sleep, because of their frightening dreams.
Lucid Dreams are so amazing and powerful! Lucid means that you are aware in the dream that you are dreaming. You could also say 'conscious' dream, but the amazing part is, that once you are aware that you are dreaming, you can change the dream... you are in control. So for example... if chased by a lion, you could turn him into a kitten! :)
But better still is the spirit work part. In spirit you miss someone and in a nano second you are there. You long to see the ocean, you're standing on the shore... it is instant, right? And in this physical world, we work on that... it takes patience, as things move slower here.
Our spirits long to reconnect with the spirit world, and they do each night. Some call it astral travel. There are many names for it in every different culture. Most of the time we do not remember our dreams... that is okay because the spirit has the experience, hangs out with teachers, or loved ones, etc. But to remember!
To have a first hand experience of the incredible freedom, is to feel connected to the All. Some people lucid dream naturally, and others can learn. Children seem to do this effortlessly very often. Once you have had that experience, you can use those techniques in your physical life! As James says, 'God always says Yes!' but we can put the kybosh on our best plans.
Lucid dreaming opens the truth, the method, the reminder that we create our lives through our thoughts and feelings, mostly our feelings. So become responsible for your feelings... use compassion instead of impatience. You know, that is immeasurable. A beautiful book that I recommend is, 'The Lucid Dreamer, A Waking Guide for the Traveler Between World's' by Malcolm Godwin. Gorgeous book!! I would be happy to answer any specific questions about this topic as well.
If you have had an experience and it frightened you, it really helps to write it all down and relive it through a creative visualization. In fact, creative visualization is also a good way to practice, if you want to incubate lucid dreams.
