Clearing your channel... let's first define that. It's an open line of communication to the Divine. It goes through your body, grounds you to the earth so as you open your channel, and use it, and clear it, you start to recognize the beauty in your own heart, your connection to all things... and of course, become a great psychic!

Why do you want a clear channel? It's really necessary for a few reasons. One, to be a great healer, psychic, medium, to have clarity in your life, to do your work well, to find self awareness, so many reasons. Those of us who have been to psychics before, we've all had one experience like this: Where the person tells you everything you want to hear, or tells you bad things, or can't pick up stuff. That means their channel is clogged. Clogged with what? Fear, limiting beliefs, incorrect assumptions, unconscious unexamined 'stuff'.

We all start in that place, most of us are in that boat when we begin our life's work, so here we are, honoring our inner truth, finding our way, finding clarity, working on clearing our channel!

There are two ways to use a clear channel. One, is a passive listening, getting and staying on the right track, listening to that inner voice, following it. After you are good at listening, the second is an active, harnessing of the energy... getting into the flow and using it to move effortlessly into your future.

Let me digress into language for a moment. When you are listening, and harnessing the flow to create the life you are meant to live, or create the life you want, those two are the same to someone who has a clear channel. Living the life you are meant to live and living the life you want are the same to someone who is listening, honoring themselves, and acting in harmony with the universe. Everything just happens effortlessly -- quite a payoff for clearing your channel.

Let me discuss the biggest question people always ask me about developing this skill and then we'll take our quiz. In my workshops, people always open up, get some good info, feelings, see images, real concrete stuff, and then say: "How do I know I'm not making it up?!" The short answer is 'you don't!' That's why you practice!

Dedicate some time to opening, listening, clearing your channel, using your channel, trust the info, act on it, after a few sessions, it becomes not only second nature, but you start discerning the difference between what you are receiving from your clear channel, and what you are making up. Boy, I have notes that have notes!

Let's take the quiz and I'll go back to the notes-- It's not a scientific quiz! It's 10 questions that will give you something to think about in your psychic/mediumship/spiritual development. Gives you a place to start on the roadmap to peace and enlightenment! The more you answer positively (to the first 8 questions), the more you are doing things to support your growth. If you don't like your answers, change direction! Simple...

They are not in any order:

1) Have you ever thought something (something popped into your head) and then it occurred or you were right?

2) Have you ever used (or how often do you use) some affirmative statements or prayers and had something occur with that effort?

3) How often are you sure of your direction (or your decisions?)

4) How often do you have moments of clarity that bring you a sense of peace knowing everything is as it should be, or that everything is unfolding perfectly?

5) Do you practice some sort of meditation or contemplation somewhat regularly?

6) Do you practice listening to your inner senses (play psychic games, read cards, channel write, etc?)

7) How often do you follow your instincts? (note--what happens when you do, what happens when you don't?)

8) How much or how often do you trust your knowing senses?

...and these last two... they are questions for your spiritual brain, not your mental brain, so write what ever comes into your head...

9) What is stopping me from operating with a clear channel/owning my clear channel/having a clear channel (pick a phrase)? and lastly.... 

10) What can I do to access/harness/open/ or clear my channel tonight?

I love asking my inner knowing self questions such as the last two. They really help you get to the bottom of things, having one breakthrough can really change your life. Asking the right questions with your channel is so key. I'm sure you all got some great answers.

Let's talk about some tips to clear the channel.

I've been doing this work for so long now, close to 13, 14 years, and I'm still clearing mine! It's a fun process, so enjoy it, whatever level you are at, it's an unfolding process. At first, the key is to get your wishes, desires, fears, and your mental brain out of the way. If you only do that for a few minutes during the time you are asking for guidance, you're golden! You only need a few minutes to work magic.

You might find it easier to receive guidance for others for this reason, you want something so badly it's hard to get out of your own way.... a good trick--and when you're starting out, trick your mental brain into zipping it for a few minutes.

To 'channel' is ...an open line of communication within yourself.... clear, like a telephone or a TV to psychic info, deceased relatives, to clarity in your life. They are like different channels on a TV set. It's clear visioning.

 

So much of teaching people to open their channel is little tricks you can use to bypass the mental chatter, let me give you a few, so you can use your channel, clear it out, trust the info, and use it in your daily life.

While you are working on mastering this, have a specific guide to help you. One that is master of the channel. Every time you use your psychic ability, ask this guide for a sign that you have received the information clearly..... like a back up plan! A confirmation test, so you don't have to rely solely on your abilities, you can ask for a 'yes' or 'no' answer, (am I right on this?) or if you like to see #s, it can really be any sign you like to see.

You can have a guide in charge and you set up your system how it suits you best. Sitting in meditation, contemplation, flowing energy through your channel as an exercise a few minutes a day, and I do have a guided meditation to do if we have time, in a few minutes.

The other thing that is huge to clear your channel, is to examine any fears, beliefs, unconscious thought patterns, assumptions you make about how things work, so you can release them. That will clear your channel in a heartbeat and change your life. I do have a great fears and beliefs exercise on my website.

Two more things... force yourself to use the info you receive every day. Whether it's finding parking spaces, calling an old friend, finding directions, etc. That way, you'll have a clear, reliable channel when you really need it.

Lastly, doing this in groups magnifies the energy. If you have a few friends, get together and do this guided meditation or some psychic exercises together, you'll really be amazed at your progress. Whew!

focus on your inner senses...........
visualize a channel of light going through your spine.........
from the top of your head..........
to the bottom of your sitz bones............
see if it is wide open like a pipe......
or if it's thin, like a rod.................
just breathe light into this channel..........

send the light up and down with every in-out breath..........
send it now as it goes down from the top of your head........
through your spine.....
down into the earth............
pull it from deep within the earth now as you breath up through to the top of you head.....
and into the heavens....................
back and forth like this from the farthest reaches of the universe........
through your spine.............
deep into the earth.....
and back again.......

That is your channel... you are a conduit for the universe. Pay close attention as it goes up and down and passes your third eye, or your mind's eye, where you receive images, thoughts, feelings, and insight. The more you breathe, the more you become one with the divine energy...the more you will know the power of yourself!

As you sit in this receptive state, focusing on your energy and your breathe going through your channel... acknowledge your power, your birth right, to receive information directly from this source.

"As I open my channel, I harness the power to know myself and my true nature... to receive guidance, wisdom and clarity directly from the purest source...I harness this power in harmony with all that is."

Now, ask your self -- send this question up your channel, into the universe, and receive the answer from the farthest reaches as it flows down back into your channel... 'What do I need to know today?' Write down what ever hits you as it flows into your channel.

Here's another question: 'How can I best honor my gifts and talents?' A few words is wonderful, a feeling --terrific! A sentence--awesome! What ever you get, honor your process.

Whether you see an image, hear a word or just have a peaceful feeling. Do this a few times a week, with your special journal handy. Ask different, well thought out questions, each time. At first, you might think you are making it up. You might get a few words, or nothing, but I guarantee you, by the time you are finished with that notebook, you will have a clear and open channel of communication with the divine flowing through you!
