AND TIME STOOD STILL

The outside world abandoned

wrapped in love's abyss

we stole the quick and fleeting time

by taking passion's kiss.

With arms wrapped round' these bodies

I felt Spirit whisper through

as you took from me the breath of love

and I right back from you.

It filled me with the pleasure

the Goddess meant to be

and god looked there upon us

and stole a kiss, or three.

I saw them as they both embraced

for they could see that we

knew the mysteries of their passsion;

knew the magick meant to be.

My hand upon your face

as you kissed me so divine

my fingers touched your lips that bade

for even more of mine.

Your hands that held me tightly

in heated kiss embrace;

I felt as one together

I felt no time nor space.

For I was also "with" you

in body and in soul

and in your arms I melted

and prayed to be the "one";

The one in brief encounter

who clouds your very thoughts

of always knowing passion,

of always wanting "us".

You looked into my eyes

and in them I saw me

forever wanting you

to forever want of me.

I saw perhaps a fleeting thought

right there in your eyes

but then again I think you fear

what you see in MY eyes.

I'm even more convinced now

our meeting meant to be.

You treat me like a Goddess

and the god I see in thee.

So two celestial bodies

of light and energy

become the whole of beauty

from chaos unleased and free.

Then when the clock starts ticking

I dread that we must part;

for all I want to do now

is hang on with all my heart.

We kiss again but this time

is to bade a sad farewell

until the time allows us

to steel it again somehow.

Then sadness overwhelms me

as I lay my head to rest

for the arms that held me tight and close

were ever so much missed.

And the tears flow like a river

and flood my heart as well.

I'm lost, alone without you

but I'll get through it somehow.

And as I fall asleep

with you clouding my mind;

I linger in the softness

of your body against mine.

So until we meet again my love

your spirit lives in me

for the essence that you let me take

will always carry me to thee.

In dreams, in waking hours

I'll feel you deep within

and wait for the sweet moments

when love's passion enters in.
