Cauldron of the Full Moon
Full Moon Info From Various Sources

Full Moon Brew
Gather a silver container filled with water out on
the night of the Full Moon just as it rises.
Allow the water to soak up lunar rays all night,
then just before dawn, rise and retrieve the water.
Place the water in an earthen jug and cork tightly.
Use this brew to anoint money to increase wealth.
Touch it to your brow to promote psychic awareness.
Or place it in the bath prior to lunar rituals to become
attuned with the spiritual planes.

A Candle to the Fae

To be done on Full Moon, light a light blue or silver candle and say:

"A candle for the folk of Faerie,
An honour on this full moon night.
Come and play a dance merry,
and bring with thee the sight.
What I ask will thee show?
Without rhyme or spell?
When I peak into the flame
Will thee the future tell?"

Ask a question if you wish and then look at the candle flame and notice
its shape, any shadows it casts on the walls or any images or feelings.
This will be your response from the fae.

- Seeds of Opportunity Spell

What do you want to achieve before the next Full Moon? Whether it’s a new job, new career, or a quick stash of cash, this spell will lead you to your goals. Start by listing the short- term goals that will lead to your long-term aims. All goals need to be specific to time and outcome and take the form of: “I will blank.?For example, “I will update my resume by April 21.?Once you have your goals listed, place a terra cotta pot, filled with soil, on your working space. Light a gold or a green candle that has been placed in the soil. Allowing a separate line for each, write out your specific goals. Then state these words:

As the earth nourishes the seeds of spring, so will these seeds be nourished.

Each time you fulfill a goal, cut off that line, bury the paper in the soil, and repeat the above words. Relight your candle during the Full Moon in celebration of meeting your goal.

EGYPTIAN FULL MOON RITUAL

Hymn to the Nile
(Repeat 4 times at each corner)
Hail to Thee Nile!
Father of Egypt
Who hears the supplication of his children.
Make pure this sacrament, make pure the way.
You who provide all that is good,
Give us the bounty of your blessing,
and let us your children be purified.

(Anoint the four corners of the altar with water)
Hail to thee Geb!
Father of the Gods

and let us your children be purified.

(Pass in a communion)

(Present flowers and leave on altar)
"Drive us to emerge beautiful, perfect, and fragrant with life!"

We supplicate you now, O Golden Eye of Ra,
Listen and hearken to our petitions,
Our needs we must fulfill,
Our desires we must meet,
Our destinies we must fulfill,
That you have written in the stars.

(Welcome everyone to share, openly converse, purge and reveal.)

(When the moment is passed, approach the altar, raise palms and
everyone give a free verse hymn of praise, thanks and respect.)

"Mighty Lady of Heaven,
We express our thanks
Through the the changing of our lives,
With the resolve and new life you give us.
The sight of your ever-changing countenance
Guides us through our difficult phases,
And encourages us in our own becoming,
And aids our own evolution to be more than what we are,
And to achieve what we are not yet.
We take your example to heart,
Hearing the wisdom of your silence,
And we pass through, bearing your light within."

(Kneel and repeat "Arach barak Mut Het-heru" 7 times)
(Sweep the altar and back away.)

Strengthen the Nervous System and Offset Anxiety Spell

Sometimes we can get stressed out or feel overwhelmed in our lives. At these times we may feel increasing anxiety and nervousness. To offset any anxiety we may feel around the Full Moon, it can be helpful to do some magical work. For this, simply go outside to a natural setting where it is quiet and you will be undisturbed. Stand tall with your knees slightly bent. Close your eyes and take several slow, deep breaths into your belly. As you do this, visualize drawing in a clear flow of energy through your nose and down into your lungs and belly. When you reach the end of your inhalation, hold your breath briefly for about two or three seconds, and visu-alize energy coursing through your body. Then gently exhale and release any negative energy and stress out through your breath. Continue to take in deep breaths of pure and clean energy, and exhale all anxiety and stress. After five minutes, you will feel rested and rejuvenated.

Holiday lore:
King Puck is a virile old goat who presides over the fair in Killorglin in Ireland. He watches the proceedings from a platform built in town, wearing a shiny gold crown and purple robes. Among the activities: gathering day, which includes a parade; fair day itself, and the buying and selling of livestock; and scattering day, when the goat is disrobed, dethroned, and sent back into the fields at sunset.

To Awaken the Powers Within

Go outside at night during the Full Moon and look up to the stars. Allow the light of the Moon
and stars to awaken the forces within you. Recite this charm:

Powers awaken, rekindle in me;
The forces of Air, blow above me.
The forces of Fire, burn within me.
The forces of Water, flow around me.
The forces of Earth, grow below me.
And so it now is, and so it shall be,
All the powers of nature, awakened in me.

Use the power you have invoked wisely and remember the words of the Wiccan Rede:
'An it harm none, do as thou wilt.'

 - Developing Your Inner Warrior Spell

Though we often need to learn compromise and skills of negotiation in modern society, there are times when we also need to develop and use the ability to defend and empower ourselves when we feel weak or low in confidence. To prepare for this spell, gather a cushion, a red candle, and a small pouch with several small garnet, ruby, or carnelian stones. In view of the rising Full Moon, sit comfortably on the cushion and light the red candle, placing it several feet in front of you. Gaze into the red candle light, and visualize yourself as strong, upright, and full of confidence and power. Tell yourself, too, that this is not a power that you intend to abuse, but it is a strength that will help you direct your will in a good way. Meditate in this way for ten minutes each day until the next Full Moon. As you meditate each day, handle the red stones that you have placed in the pouch. Also, carry the pouch around your neck and near your heart each day until you have finished the sequence of meditations running from Full Moon to Full Moon. This pouch will remind you of the strength you are building.

-  Fast Cash Spell for Bills

While obviously it’s always a good idea to plan in advance, occasionally the unexpected occurs. Usually this means a bill you did not expect arriving just as the time your bank account is as empty as a lumberjack’s back pocket. This spell, coupled with the  Full Moon  gives rise to the quick and strong energy needed for finding quick cash. This spell is not intended to create a lasting cash flow. Light a green and a gold candle. Place the bill and your checkbook in front of you, saying:

Money needed,
To pay this bill.
Full Moon light;
Money sources reveal.
Focus on the money being in your account, and the check being written to cover the bill. Release the energy and be alert to any surprise sources of money that might be unveiled in the next few days.

Dark Side of the Moon Spell

With so many planets in Scorpio tonight, this is an ideal time to explore how your hidden self affects your family and friends. To do this, imagine you are standing under a Full Moon. The light shines brightly, then slowly wanes to dark. Ask to be shown what the dark side holds now—especially ask for any information that can help you to improve your relationships. Feel yourself being pulled to the Moon, and see that the orb reflects the shadows within you. Most of these shadows are very dark and you pass by without stopping. But eventually you will find one small image that speaks to you. Ask what message it holds for you. Take note of any images, messages, memories, or feelings that come up. When you understand something of the message or have received all that is offered, see light return to this place. Gently return to your body. Light and understanding fill you.

- Remember Our Inner Self Spell

The sign of Gemini is associated with trickster energy, or with what certain Native Americans associate with coyote medicine. Some-times trickster energy can jolt us out of our ordinary and mundane routines and help remind us of our path. The trickster energy can help us wake up from the dream of our ordinary life. Gemini is also associated with duality. As we are both physical and spiritual beings, this is a good time to remember the hidden and underlying self we may have forgotten. T0 prepare for this spell, you will need a bell and a small mirror. On the night of the Full Moon, find a quiet place and stare into the mirror. You may find yourself worrying about small concerns or suddenly critiquing your personality and lifestyle. Every time your mind drifts, ring the bell. This is the bell of awakening, and it will help you to remember to be present right where you are, and alive in the moment. After you have meditated for a time, allow yourself to look deeply into your own eyes and remember that you are beautiful and powerful. Honor the good aspects of yourself. When you start to forget them and drift back into worries or concerns, ring the bell again. Begin to see your inner radiance on a regular basis.

Full Moon Water Scrying Divination

Patti Wigington

The full moon has long been considered a symbol of wisdom and intuition. We feel its connection every month, when it lights the night sky. Many of us feel more energetic and alert during the full phase of the moon. This is partly because our bodies and mind are intricately connected to the lunar cycles. Like our selves, water is also linked to the changing face of the moon -- just ask anyone who lives on the coast about the phenomenon of "lunar tide"!

Using a reflective surface as a tool for scrying is hardly new -- the ancient Romans did it in their religious rituals, and the Egyptian "Book of the Dead" contains references to Hathor's magic mirror, used to see the future. Pre-Christian Celtic seers were believed to have visions when they looked upon dark stones such as beryl or other crystals, according to Pliny.

Even in the 1500s, Nostradamus made notes about staring into a bowl of water by candlelight to gain inspiration.

This divination is one of the simplest. It's best to do it outside if at all possible, because, after all, you are relying on the moon to illuminate the water for you! If you can't perform this ritual on the night of the full moon, the night immediately before or immediately after is just as acceptable.

In addition to a clear sky and a full moon, you'll need the following items:

  • A table or some sort of flat work space
  • A dark bowl
  • A pitcher containing enough water to fill the bowl
  • A journal or notepad to write in, as well as a pen
  • Optional: your favorite meditative music

If your tradition normally requires you to cast a circle, do so now. If you'd like to play some music, go ahead and start your cd player. Sit or stand comfortably at your workspace. Begin by closing your eyes, and attuning your mind to the energy around you. Feel the soft earth under your feet. Hear the rustling of the wind in the trees. Breathe in the scent of grass and earth that lingers in the air. Raise your arms out to your sides, palms facing up, and feel the energy of the moon above you.

Take some time to gather that energy. It's a pull, a palpable sensation that we can feel, if we just take the time to look for it. Feel that silvery power above you, and recognize your connection to it, and to the Divine.

When you are ready to begin scrying, open your eyes. Notice the night all around you. You may feel an unusual sense of clarity and alertness - don't be alarmed, it's just that lunar energy at work. Raise the pitcher in one hand, holding it over the bowl. As you do, visualize wisdom and guidance within the water. As you pour the water into the bowl, from the pitcher, see the energy of the moon charging that water. Recognize that this water can show you the mysteries of the moon.

When the bowl is full, position yourself so that you can see the moon's light reflected directly into the water. Stare into the water, looking for patterns, symbols or pictures. You may see images moving, or perhaps even words forming. You may have thoughts pop spontaneously into your head, that seem to have nothing at all to do with anything. Use your journal, and write everything down. Spend as much time as you like gazing into the water -- it may be just a few minutes, or even an hour. Stop when you begin to feel restless, or if you're getting distracted by mundane things ("Hm, did I feed the cat?").

When you are finished gazing into the water, make sure you have recorded everything you saw, thought and felt during your scrying session. Messages often come to us from other realms and yet we frequently don't recognize them. If a bit of information doesn't make sense, don't worry -- sit on it for a few days and let your unconscious mind process it. Chances are, it will make sense eventually. It's also possible that you could recieve a message that's meant for someone else -- if something doesn't seem to apply to you, think about your circle of friends, and who it might be meant for.

Afterwards, you can leave your water out overnight to charge it even more, or you can pour it away into your garden as an offering.

** Note: If you live near a natural body of water such as a pond or lake, you can perform water scrying with these larger "bowls" instead!

- Full Moon Fruition Spell

A Full Moon is the perfect time to bring things to fruition.
If you have something in your life that is hanging in the balance, this is the spell for you.

~You will need~
Parchment seal
Dragons or Doves Blood ink
Brown Candle
Sprinkling Herbs or Spell Powder
Fireproof vessel

On the Full Moon, gather your ingredients and depending on your
needs will dictate what Seal, herbs and Blood ink you need to use.
Ex. If you have a house closing that is just not going through,
use a Parchment seal for Earthly matters, herbs could be (powdered)
Bay leaves or Earth Spell Powder and ink, Doves blood.

Carve into your candle three symbols for the Moon, light candle.
Write in "Blood Ink" on parchment seal your name and date of birth
along with any other appropriate symbols. Sprinkle a SMALL amount
of herbs or Spell Powders on your parchment seal, focus on seeing
your need fulfilled, light tip of seal in candle flame and place
in vessel, and as it burns recite this incantation:

"On this right and ready hour,
I call upon the mystic powers.
Secret parchment, ancient fires,
bring to me my hearts desire.,
Let the wheels in motion roll,
All I seek will now unfold."

Let candle burn out or snuff if leaving.
