- Night of Shadow’s Spell
Throw another log on the fire, and lock the door. On this night, according to the old ways, the most magical events occurred. It was the night to practice divination, to seek omens in shadows and candle wax, and to watch out for vampires walking the planet. On this eve, when mystery lurks in every shadow, conjure your future with smoke. In your cauldron burn both stem and leaf of wormwood, marigold, and dried rosemary. Let the scents mingle and rise before you as you utter no word, nor make a sound. Watch the smoke; it is here that your future will reveal itself. If you hear a knock during the night, don’t answer the door until you hear a second knock. Vampires only knock once.
