Llael and I are so happy to share our lessons-learned with you this evening. We have been working as a team, since Llael was very little and I realized she was seeing and hearing into realities that most people didn't. I began this journey, realizing that she would have to help me raise her! As she got older, and the Internet let us bring many of us together, as her guides asked me to do, we finally decided to start a camp with many new friends.

Well, a little bit about me... during college I began a search for deeper meaning to life, and studies at the School of Metaphysics for 3 years. My journey of self awareness led though both eastern and western inner traditions and many anomalous experiences! So, even with such a inner drive to understand the vastness of human experience, it is quite another thing to find your 2 year old talking with someone in the doorway at 2 am!

What? Well, okay, 'Ask them what they want'. I finally realized that the social graces of the physical world were just as useful to share with our young kids for their explorations of the spirit and the etheric realms as well, so this is how I got started on this path of managing family PSI experiences in a young child.

Living from moment to moment and using the same "skills" that are used by society and interpolating them for the subtle worlds. Okay, so what I'd like to start with is sharing a list of he most common types of family PSI experiences that we have come across in the last 6 years of our egroup, with parent and teens sharing with us from around the mostly English speaking world.

We have discovered, that there are few metaphysical first aid tools, for ready application that will take care of most situations. Then, we have also developed a fair list of reading references for suggestions on where to dig deeper into the finer spiritual perceptual understandings that can work as a solid base from which to develop your own families profound awareness. Many people also write to ask us how they can encourage the inner spiritual and mystical aspects in their little ones. So, I'll start by mentioning a very little bit about that.

It is my very dearly held understanding that making these inner connections and relationships with the larger realities, starts with our own relationship with ourselves, with our communities right there in the physical. So, for me, to build relationship to the spirit, we must care for our 'here and now' relationships with the utmost RESPECT.

To empower the profound awareness in little ones requires that we act in a profoundly respectful and connected way with them, at all times. Grin, and if we make a mistake, be prepared to instantly, say,  "I'm sorry " even to an infant. It's never too early.

For infants this means keeping them on our bodies as close to 24/7 as possible, so they can FEEL our heart, our thoughts, etc. Secondly, TALK with even the youngest infant daily, all day. They are sponges waiting for us to let them know about this planet they have arrived on! Let them know the names of the smells that they are experiencing as you cook supper. Engage ALL the senses that you are aware of, (grin) or the senses that you have put on auto-pilot and now need to be conscious of. This will develop the PSI abilities at the same time!

Okay now to some of the situations that you all might be experiencing.
   
I think the most common of all is, the SCARY ENTITIES that young clairvoyants see, and don't know how to deal with. The immediate first aid, and for always, is to share with kids about the spiritual power of the word NO! This is a must.

They must be aware that they have the full rights to their own bodies, their own minds and feelings, and of course to their own rooms and homes. This comes from an inner conviction of their connectedness to the Divine, or whatever words your family uses. What is important here is that the old external authority complex, must be diminished for the internal authority to develop. The Deep Respect aspect of this is that, we as parents are that external authority who must be willing to give up some of the old traditional ways of 'using' children.

What this looks like, in a situation where your child is screaming in fear, is that, if you take them in your arms and lap (breathe to calm yourself), sitting in view of 'what' is causing the fear, and gently telling them to tell the scary entity, "You don't have the right to be in my presence, in my house or anywhere that I am. Only those of the Christ Light and Love may be near me. All others must go, NOW! " Or the equivalent for your family tradition.

Masaru Emoto's book,  "The Message From Water, " is a fantastic view of he power of Intention! I think the next most common situation is SENSORY OVERLOAD. These are young and not so young empaths who are taking in so much stuff, into their own human energy field (HEF), that is not theirs.

Some parents are besides themselves with kids who are apparently out of control at the store or where ever, and if we miss cue and 'discipline' them instead of being compassionate and sensitive ourselves to what might be going on for them, then we miss an opportunity to guide them to learn balancing and protection measures.

One fine way to SHOW empaths the energy fields is to use dowsing rods, or hire a dowser. (A dowser is someone who uses a divining rod to find underground water. A divining, or dowsing, rod is a forked stick.) This technique lets the kids discover how they can learn to intentionally draw their own energy fields in closer to their physical bodies while they are out in public so that they are not disturbed by other people's fields. Barbara Brennan's book,  "Hands of Light, " is a great reference for this.

Another common PSI experience that in the past has often gone unnoticed is CLAIRAUDIENCE, the ability to hear in the astral and etheric realms. In the past our society derogatorily put this down to an 'OVER' active imagination, so the beauty of the fully realized intuitive human was missed.

Even for families who recognize the signals, it is difficult to teach discernment in what exactly you or your children are hearing and from whom. I managed this particular sensory perception of Llael's by helping her to fill in the blanks before the traditional age of reason... the missing analytical capacity.

I never told her what was what, but simply and gently asked her to FEEL into what she was sensing, letting her discern for herself, but reminding her about listening with her body and heart feelings. VOCABULARY training is highly important here. We can't talk about what we have no word for.

So learning interpretation of what one is hearing or sensing (clairsentience) requires a good ability to 'describe', without judging what it is you are sensing. The books like the Magic Eye series of images that show illusory 3D illustrations, are a great way of demonstrating how easy it is to misinterpret the content of what you 'see'. A great tool of learning to focus your eyes at varying lengths...and perhaps pick up the spirit world, etc.

High MYSTICAL and reverent moments are other experiences that can easily be missed in the rush of our lives. For parents, the indications might be recognized by being carefully aware of our children's style of personality and taking note of differences.... Are they all of a sudden very quiet? Do they tend to go off by themselves a lot? It is possible to ASK about their inner lives, without seeming rude. You will find a way.

It may surprise you to know that often children have an intense sense of moral, spiritual, and social justice issues. Do not assume that they are 'only' young children! Their knowings can be encouraged by Deep Respect. The dinner conversation should always include the children as equals in the conversation with other adults.

Encourage JOURNALING, including creating one for them when they are too young, it is highly beneficial for developing the inner life. Oh, there are so many others, like the difference between ghosts and spirits, how to manage multi-dimensional and parallel reality experiences, out of body situations, and we've even had young telekineticist's who seem to move their sippy cups around the house from their cribs! But let's hear what your particular experiences are, folks, teens and everyone.
