Colors, Chakras and Auras
I begin by telling people about the basic of what color is. In 1666, Sir Isaac Newton discovered that color was an expression of light, and that light could be broken down into the seven color rays, each color having its own vibration and wavelength.
Since sunlight is our main source of energy, we need the 7 colors to nourish our body, mind and spirit. Each color has it's own effect on our complete being. For example,
Red is stimulating, and energizes our physical body. It is our body intelligence. Orange is our sensing energy, and connects us to our feeling energy.
Yellow is our mental energy that governs our left brain analytical self.
Green is our heart chakra power, and that is the energy of our emotions.
Blue is our communicative intelligence, and is our planning and organizing energy.
Indigo (which I am sure a lot of you here are connected to), is our psychic and intuitive intelligence
Violet is our spirit, and our chakra that links us to the universe.
So when one is lacking in a color (an intelligence), then there is disharmony either mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually.
So back to light... We need light energy as it activates our body, and our body's physical chakra system. When we are in the sunlight, our body receives all colors, but we are not in the sunlight as much as we should be to receive light energy, so this is why we need color. Through color we access each frequency which nourishes specific glands in our body, which in turn energizes our chakra's, and the organs connected to the chakra's. When a chakra is out of harmony, you will have physical symptoms.
A common complaint that people have is lack of energy, or sore lower backs. This is indicating that one's red energy - root chakra - is low. Give me a symptom, and I can tell you what color you generally avoid, or tell me your favorite color, and I can tell you about your personality. It is all connected and you have to learn this, as it is the science of life.
It is like when you are in school you have several subjects, and maybe in one subject you are not so clever. What do you do to improve? You read and you learn what that subject is all about. It is no different when it comes to your body mind and spirit, except we can break this down further... into the seven color subjects... your red physical energy, your orange sensing energy, your yellow mental intelligence, your green emotional energy, your blue communicative intelligence, your indigo intuitive intelligence, and your violet visionary intelligence.
Combined they make what we are all trying to achieve - the white light of enlightenment. You can only achieve true enlightenment when all your chakra's are in balance and harmony together ... communicating together and speaking the same language... the language of light! When you only work with a few of your chakra's, then it will be difficult for your other chakra's to support you in other areas. And when you are only working with a few chakra's then your aura will beam out those colors.
Now we get into auras... your aura is a projection of you. Your aura is also, in part, a result of your environment... You are what you think, or you are what you resonate, is true when you can see the aura. The aura does not lie... When I see someone's aura -- I see them for 'who' they truly are... I can see happiness, grief, etc., because every color in your aura expresses attributes.
Red is passion on the positive side, so when I see red in one's aura - it is passion, but passion on the negative side is anger, so when I see a dark red in someone's aura then I know it is only red that needs to be redirected! Isn't this easy?! It gets easier the more you learn about what each color means on all levels. I recommend Inger Naess's book, called 'Color Energy' or her booklet, as they teach you what color means on all levels.
If I see a dark red, for example, in someone's energy then I look to see where the red is. Is it outside of the root chakra... say for example in the heart? If it is, then the heart is using the wrong energy, and green needs to be there, otherwise this will effect the heart chakra in the long run, which in turn is connected to the lungs, heart, thymus, etc. This is how we work in color therapy... we put the color where it belongs.
So how do you do this? Easily! You can eat red energy through your food. God was very clever in coloring food for us to make it really simple! You didn't think it was because the doctors knew better - did you? Health professionals having been telling us for years to have a variety of colored foods on your plate, for the nutritional effect, but we know better now... that it is for the color power! So when you eat a red tomato next time... know that you are eating red energy!
You can also use gemstones they are also colored. Every naturally colored stone will have the healing properties to support the chakra of the same color. Did you know that they use quartz crystals to program computer chips? Imagine the power when you carry them or wear them in jewelry. You can also bath in color - I love Color Energy's Color Baths...you lay in the frequency of a color for ½ hour.... imagine how the color's energy blesses your body with it's beautiful power. You can also wear colors. How often have you worn a certain color because of the way it makes you feel?
I had a red suit that when I wore it I felt like super woman! Certain colors will affect our moods. Scientifically they have done much research on color response factors. Even famous sayings that are old, depict a colors attributes, i.e., seeing red (for anger) or feeling blue, color is everywhere including 'in' us. We can also bring color in thru affirmations, visualizations, meditations. Often people have shared with me how they see color during therapy treatments. Essential oils are another modality of color... the lavender oils comes from violet flowers, thus equals the violet energy.
Now to truly understand how color effects you on all levels do this... wake up in the morning and decide what color you need for you day (and if you are clever you can figure this out the night before so that you are prepared). Start your bath in a Color Bath or envision the color showering on you while you shower. So let's say you want the yellow energy to support your day, as you know you need your mental intelligence chakra supporting you. So while you are in the Yellow Color Bath or visualizing the color showering on you, you think of what you specifically need the energy for...
Yellow is my energy that supports my memory, so I think of it's yellow rays cleansing my mind so I have room to store more data, but also envision the yellow energy cleansing my whole body... my liver, pancreas, nervous system, all the body parts connected to the yellow center. This exercise helps with any type of digestive problems, constipation, poor memory, parasites, toxins, etc. Next I support my yellow energy by further eating and drinking in the energy. I love fennel tea or lemon squeezed in water...I wear yellow, and if I don't like to wear it on the outside, I wear it close to me...
Just so you and the rest of the world knows I wear a lot of red underwear to keep me grounded! So by kick starting my day with one color... only one vibration I am ready for my day! Also by adding several methods of stimulation, you increase the power ten-fold!
