Could mellow them out too, especially if you use lavender ;) Scented Play Dough
This is fun for the kids and you!
Mix up a batch for when the kids need a quiet activity
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Salt
1 Cup water, may be tinted with food coloring
1 Tablespoon Sunflower oil
2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
2-3 drops essential oils Safe oils are lavender, orange
2 Tablespoons scented herb leaves or flower petals
Mix together flour, salt, water, oil and cream of tartar
in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until
it begins to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in
essential oils, leaves and or petals.
Place dough on lightly floured board and knead
for 3-5 min until smooth.
Store in airtight container
