Senses Consider your senses. Do you experience meaning in what you look at? I watched a personal photo being taken for the gogzillininth time. It is always the same formula. "HEY! There is a thing! Why don't you stand in front of it and I will take your photo?!" It makes me laugh. Why do we take photos of the people we love? Why are they so often standing in front of a thing? Why do we watch the agony on the news as though it were not really happening? Are we speaking to our animals just with our eyes and are they responding? Why does chocolate make some people (like me :-D) feel so good!? In a local art museum I view a painting of an old man carrying sticks. He is very close to the end of the road portrayed in the painting. He is doubled over and about to fall under the weight of the sticks. He is making that last desperate attempt to hold onto the sticks, but it is clear that he will fall. We all will die at some point. We know that, and yet to really think of it and feel that, is difficult for many. Feeling... I see the painting and it gives me a feeling. The first thing I ever experienced in astral was feeling. Before I could see, I would sense things and this would be communication to me. In astral, I was blind. We can develop all our senses in astral. Now I feel, see, and sometimes I hear. At other times I seem to be deaf. I do not remember smelling anything while traveling in astral, but I do not see why all of these senses can not be developed. Since I have had waking experience of.... smelling something that was clearly not present physically in "real life." (Clar-smelling??? I can't think of a word for it.) My deceased father smokes a cigar in his lab/library when I visit him just so I know it is him. I think I am supposed to smell it. Perhaps I do have this sense. Maybe using the senses in astral is just a form of adjustment to a larger world, such as the cats in their seemingly familiar domain under the kitchen tables. The senses may be a go between for adjustment to the larger world, the bigger mind where the capicity exists to know more directly. Some people will look at a painting and remember tastes, and familiar smells. I cannot recall ever tasting anything in astral, but I did see a film of a little girl who was dying that did. She had a form of cancer and was not going to live much longer. It was her request, although she was so little, that she tell her story on film so that all the other little boys and girls could have these great things to look forward to if they were dying like her. She was so small and so wise. She wanted to share her good experience with angels. She did in her tiny little voice and words. Each night this little girl was visited by angels. They would all go together to play in the clouds. She would romp the heavens with them. The angels told her that clouds taste like anything you want. If you want banana cream pudding, just have some! She was very excited about this and spoke of how wonderful it all was. Her talk was very touching and her sharing brought tears to everyone's eyes. Heaven is delicious and a lot of fun too. Some little people can play happily with the angels and have banana cream pudding too. Photo of Porcelain Cherub Angels from Hearts & Angels |
