Dreamt that I was in a music store buying an instrument.  I was looking at a guitar when this young, handsome yet shabby, young rocker type guy started talking to me.  He apparently knew me and asked how my son was doing.  Next we are standing in front of the house I grew up in (the "haunted" one...lololol) and are facing an open back trunk of a car.  He tells me that he's tried calling me several times yet I don't seem to get my messages.  All of a sudden Lesi comes running out from the house and straight to him.  They chit-chat, this man is rubbing the top of Lesi's head etc...as if they know eachother.  Lesi leaves and he hands me the paper and tells me that he will call me shortly.  I look at the paper and notice that he has given me a phone number that looks like an international number.  I think at that moment, where does this guy come from???  oh and btw....he told his name...Sysvanna or Syvanna.  I don't want to start rationalising (as this is a girls name) maybe a mand can have it too....lol
When I woke up I thought that perhaps this was my son's guide I met....
What are your takes on this?

Martine

There was a "60" in it... and then the international "011" at the start of it.....that's all about what I remember.....

It's very bizarre that you all have mentioned this.
Lesi told me when he was three that he wanted to take xylophone lessons.  So I searched frantically and actually found a xylophone class for 3-4 year olds.  well being the rascal that he is....he got kicked out of the class and well xylophone is no more.....At that time I had an impulse to learn how to play the violin.  A serious and very obessive impulse to learn (it's still very strong).  I studied music many years (piano) and ahve been away from it for a very long time.  Somehow I felt as though this impulse was there for him.  Since he is such an anxious and reluctant child (sto start new things) I felt as though it was a sign for me to learn....to inspire him to want to learn.  I read you posts a little earlier and thought of this impulse.  I asked him "If mommy would take violin lessons, what would you say???"  He said "I would say Great going mommy and I would want go with you."  So I asked, "what, to see me play?" and he answered "no. to play with you".
Just this year that past a music school called me (phone soliciters) and asked me if there was anyone in the house that would like to learn music.  I signed him up but then circumstances (with the move and his therapy...he has asperger's) didn't allow it since there just wasn't enough time.
He has an outstanding voice for a little guy and loves to mimic Alecia Keys...He voice is VERY strong and comes from the gut...yet kind of off tune and squacky....lol which is normal since he isn't trained in music...lol
We were in the car the other day and some heavy techno was playing....he told me to keep it and he sat there bobbing his little head to the music.  He had this hat on sideways and looked like one of those little rapper guys.  I then got this flash of him being sixteen and turning tables...lol
All of this would really make sense and the comment that the guide (if it was a guide) had said "I tired to call you several times but you never got my messages" would make sense in that regard.  It's like every chance that came up was just kind of left in the dust and not realy taken into consideration or taken for granted.
Today I realised that I have to sign him up for his camp.  He will be going to special needs camp this summer as last year was just horrible.  As I haven't signed him up yet, maybe I should research a music camp as well as violin lessons for me!!!!!....hmmmm...food for thought!

Thanks for telling me about the Savannah music festival and the Georgia relation (also that there are recordings here in Toronto).  It's all sooo clear!

ONE MORE THING!!!!
Today, my father told me that there is a woman calling me daily at his house!  Since we have the same last name and the same first initial, this often happens(people calling for me at his place).  But what is strange about this call is that she won't leave her name or number....and get this....she is calling from GEORGIA (can tell by the area code)!

Ok....Spirit is really talking VERY loud right now.......I better start to listen eh folks?

Martine

PS....thank you all for your wonderful clarifications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Martine,
I've been thinking of your situation and really do think that music is what your son needs.   One of the boys in my daughter's grade 4 class has Aspberger's (sp?) and his mother put him in band this year.  He learned to play the drums and is quite good at it.  Learning the music has really helped him focus and relax him.   He has an older sister with the same and she learned a musical instrument and has kept with it into middle and high school.   So, listen carefully to all the signs that are popping up.  Let us know how things progress.

Hugs,
Wheezie

Thanks for that Wheezie...it's very assuring to know that others in my situation have taken this step and it's worked.  I'm confident too but I also know that he will have a better chance of sucess if I learn first (and he copies me)....something he enjoys doing!!!lol

Thanks!
Martine
