how fast a deer can disappear?   Got up at 5 this morning to go hunting but it weas raining so I went and lay back down. Around 8 I decided to take a walk out to see if there was anything out there. Of course the corne is still up so I had to go around the outside of the feild. Did you ever notice that deer are invisable as long as they dont move? I came around the corner of the corn and there they were waiting for me,three of em.  Maybe ill have better luck in the morning if I can get up.    On the bright side, ive seen 8 so far.

Yes i have also noticed that. As they can be right in front of you they are hard to spot. But we on the other hand stick out like sore thumbs. I went out this morning to find my truck covered with a dusting of the white stuff. Not much mind ya but enough to make me go Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  dang its cold out here. It was 23 by the radio show i was listning on the way hunting so by the time i go to the woods it had to have dropped by several degrees i swear. Then a breaze picked up out of the northwest and that made it worse. Brrrrrrr Well i did manage to hang out till 9am but never saw any deer but i did hear about 10 shots this morning. But i did have a squirrel come and try to rub noses with me.

Yep, we had 7 deg and 1-1/2" of snow last night.  The deer are everywhere right now.  I almost got an 8-pointer with my Jeep last night coming home from work.  He was strolling after a pair of does and not paying attention to anything...

Charlie.. That squirrel wanted to give you a kiss.. he knew that you weren't hunting him.

Now Andy, doesn't that sound like a young buck.. checking out the does and not looking where he is going?

Deer can blend good when they want to hide.  Charlie, the squirrel thought he was in heaven. It thought it found the biggest nut around. lol
