The end of the day draws to an end. You have canoed 20 miles today

and now as you sit around your campfire, you reflect on the past few hours.  What fun you've had, the fish you've caught or the wildlife you've seen. You wonder what it would be like to live here knowing that soon you will be going back to the rat race. Whether you fish, camp, or just go out canoing for a few hours, its times like these that bring piece to your soul.

                 Life is like a river

Life is like the Oswegotchie River, Full of twists and turn with new challenges around every bend. It might be a beaver dam or some rapids. Sometimes you might have to get out and walk, carefully avoiding the quicksand traps. Hidden rocks can give you quite a jolt, sometimes tipping you over.  Not knowing what lies ahead is what makes live such an adventure. At the end of the day, you look back to see all that you've accomplished and when you curl in your sleeping bag next to your campfire, Your at peace with the world.
