Cost: $50/ea (incl dinner) Length: 1 Day |  Since 1994, Adventure Rents offered both public and private guided summer moonlight flotillas, on or near the full moons of summer, complete with catered dinners on the river beach. In late afternoon, we set up tables and seating around a large fireplace on the river beach. Following the meal, our experienced guides lead the group (wearing rainbow glow rings for both fun and safety) down the Gualala River estuary towards the sunset. As the sun sets, the moon rises over the coastal ridges. Paddling back to the takeout is under the moon…the river transformed into a magical, shimmering mirror. Boaters return to the beach lined with torches and gather around the warmth of the fire for river tales, music and hot beverages. The Gualala River is backed by thousands of acres of private forest. Unhurried and undeveloped along its entire length, the river supports an abundance of wildlife, including osprey, river otter and a variety of waterfowl, and provides a perfect setting for safe, self-guided paddling past redwood forests, salt marshes and sandy beaches. We welcome all ages/skill levels. Large groups can also be accommodated with or without guides and catered river meals. Choose from canoes that hold 2-4 persons plus gear and single or tandem recreational kayaks. Rentals include paddles, life jackets and dry bags.
