44 yo married with two almost grown children and an arthritic old long haired German Shepherd that loves going where we go.  We are clsoe to a wonderful harbour, rivers lakes and beaches - and I've just become a convert from powerboating to canoes.  Have had fibreglass and am about to go to inflatables (sevylor Seakayak and Deluxe DiveYak with a small outboard - for the longer "communter trips" to visit my parents accross port Stephens (6 km often into 20 knot headwinds and a 6 knot current).  Work for myself and hope to spend a lot more time paddling in teh years to come.   Cheers  Frank R
