Let me be Me!
Not worthy of love, laughter or care,
To want all of that, I wouldn't dare!
A natural love, without any pain,
Laughter and joy, it isn't the same.
Years of Abuse, Hatred and Sorrow,
Hoping it ends, one day, like tomorrow!
Memories haunting me, every day,
There has to be, some other way?
Its natural to want Peace, Love and Joy,
Because guess what mate! I'm NOT YOUR TOY!
No longer can you play, with all my emotions,
So forget your idea's, forget all your notions.
I have broken free, from years of Abuse,
You can't Control me now, So it is no use!
The feelings are strong, as they try to control,
But now its time for me, to have the lead role!
I will not stand still, on this journey of life,
I've had to much sorrow, and to much strife.
It's time to be open, time to be true,
As I take back the feelings, and give them to you!
You were at fault, it was not me,
Do you realise the pain, you caused 'little me'?
Do you even care, or worry at night?
As whilst deep asleep, with you I fight?
I Hollor and Scream, yell out 'let me be'!
Stop chasing my dreams, let me be me!
