Ok most of you know I know NOTHING about comps...........We had our desktop in the shop and decided in the meantime to buy a laptop. Well we got the desktop back today but now the laptop doesn't work. Is there something diff we are suppose to do with the laptop to make it work? Like have some type of *card* to use it for wireless? LOL I know this sounds dumb but oh well lol
What exactly do you mean by your laptop not working? Do you mean it won't turn on, or do you mean it won't connect to the internet? The fact that you got your desktop back shouldn't affect your laptop at all.
That's what we thought also Joe, but after he hooked the desktop back up and we tried the laptop it said no connection lol grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr But he didn't really mess with it alot cause he had to pack to go out of town for the weekend. So he'll try working on it Sat or Sun.
Someone told me I needed a wireless card and I am not sure if we have one or not lol yeah yeah it sucks not knowing crapola about Comps.
TWEETY, YOUR DESKTOP DOES IT PLUG STRAIGHT INTO THE ROUTER? OR DO YOU HAVE A WIRELESS ROUTER. GOT A STUBBY AERIAL ON IT? YOU MAY NEED A DONGLE FOR YOUR LAPTOP. OR IF YOUR LAPTOP IS ALSO PLUGGING INTO YOUR ROUTER GO INTO YOUR CONTROL PANEL ON YOUR LAPTOP & CLICK ON WIRELESS NETWORK SETUP. HOPE THIS GIVES YOU SOME POINTERS.
