CONNECT FOUR

RULES:

Getting Started:

Copy & paste the whole board (see below) into your post.

Left click your mouse on the start of what you want to copy and hold it down until you have the whole thing highlighted. Then you hold down the Ctrl key while you hit the C (or you can right click your mouse and choose copy). Open a new thread, put your cursor in the box and hold down your Ctrl key and type V (or you can click on the clipboard in the text editor). Try different ways...starting at the bottom or at the top (sometimes one works better than the other).

Another way to copy is to position your mouse at the top or bottom of what you want to highlight and hold down the shift key, left click your mouse button and release, and then go to the bottom of what you want copied and hit the shift key and the left mouse button again. The whole section should be highlighted for you to then hit Ctrl and type C to copy. Remember when you get to where you want it to hold the Ctrl key and type V to paste.

Choose an emoticon as your playing piece, then type your name and your emoticon on the player menu at the right of the board.  Use no more than 5 letters of your name, and use only the default size font.  Observe this:          Joe = flash

Object of the Game:

Each player tries to build a row of four emoticons, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally, while at the same time trying to prevent opponents from doing the same thing.

When you make a move that gives you four of your game pieces in a row, YOU WIN !

Rules of Play:

All emoticons fall to the bottom! No blank spaces can be under them.  You can't place your emoticon into "thin air."  Your move will either be to the bottom of a row, or on top of a prior move.  Think GRAVITY.

Once again,
all emoticons fall to the bottom.

You can play in any order as long as 1 person has played since your last move.

Anyone is welcome to join in at any time and still be able to win.

Please check after you SEND your post to see if someone posted at the same time and their move is ahead of yours.  If so, delete yours and play again.

Always copy the bottom post on the game thread.  Copy by left clicking your mouse and holding the button down while running it over the ENTIRE GAME BOARD, then right clicking, then left clicking on COPY.  Now you're ready to PASTE the game board into your post by using the PASTE ICON on the text editor or else using CONTROL + V on your keyboard.

After a game or two, everyone will understand the rules and method of playing.  Let's have fun !

Good luck with CONNECT 4  !
