Captured Dance
Not often allowed a glimpse into nature.
Years consumed by labor of survival
Daylight bereft, a vacuum hidden in shadows
Escaping only through the twilight hour
Mortar fends the wind away
Saltened sprays never reach the face
Repelled golden rays drop carelessly
Another day emptied, betrayed
Though trapped in florescent light
A single moment of reprieve
Choreographed across Earth's canvas
It is but a captured dance.
