I've been giving some thought to new topics......just doing my bit in throwing out suggestions........
I love the jokes...and I think I contribute my fair share of them......But sometimes it would be nice to sink my teeth into something more than just "fluff".....
I have always found it interesting how there can be so many differing opinions on how to handle any given situation....depending on the person/persons involved....
How about a thread of "Moral Dilemnas"?
I'm sure most of us have either HAD them...or at the very least KNOW of some that we could throw out there for discussion?....
What about "Old Car Buffs"...I've been restoring an old vehicle....and there must be lots of others in here that do, or have......Maybe theres hints , tips.....pictures....or just bragging rights out there??
What about a "Career/Job" thread.....You know...I don't even know what half of you do....Maybe take us through your day.....??
Does anyone want to share their hobby...or crafts that they do at home.....Do you MAKE gifts for people? Are you handy at woodworking? Maybe show pics of things you do??
I like the idea of a current event........I remember in school...Something was just picked at random...and discussed by all......
What about a "Book of the Month" club?? Several could be suggested and one decided upon by vote...At the end of the month, those who wanted to participate could get together (possibly in the vent room) and discuss it...
Those were just a few ideas, in a very short time.....Actually if everyone came up with ONE idea each , there would be more than enough topics to choose from........and a list could be kept in the "Suggestion" thread...Just pick one at random......
Things have changed a lot since the OLD days of 40'5...Some people have left.....but I think you'll find they would have left anyway...And...there has been NEW members......
You can't force people to post...neither can you force them to suggest.....but then...they have no right to complain if they aren't willing to be part of the whole process...
I hope this post sparked some ideas for some.....Don't be afraid to start a thread......It takes very little......Sometimes just a question......Go for it....It only hurts the first time...lol...(that isn't what I really wanted to say)
And speaking of posting too much.........I'm outta here.......
