Sixpack,
I use Serif PagePlus for a lot of things like brochures, etc. They have free downloads of earlier versions of their products at http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/ if you want to try them out. Lot of times when they develop a new version of software you can get the previous version for $10 or so. I have had very good results with their software.

Here is one you can make right online and just print out. Looks pretty easy and nice.I have not tried it yet. Just now dug it up.
Hope it helps some,

I created mine with a free brochure template that I downloaded from Microsoft Word template gallery at Microsoft to work with MS Word. Many free templates there. Check them out. Flyers, brochures and many others.

I print all my brochures and bussiness cards using MS Publisher
print on good quality paper usually called brochure paper. Nought a 3 pak from office depot really cheap price.
be forwarned that lots of pics will use lots of colored ink.
keep your brochure simple and to the point.
Avoid lots of big words or lots of jibberish.
remember-the first 6 words in your brochure should sell your product as most people only read several words before throwing away if not interested in product.
good luck

Sixpack,

I also use Serif Page Plus. I've used their products for about 10 years. I used to do a lot of desktop publishing design for small businesses. Any version at or above PP8 PDF version will allow you to turn your brochure into a .pdf file should you want to bring it to a Copy Shop or printer for printing.

I find this program to be very veritile, unlike MS Word that does not allow you the range of creativity that a publishing program does.  Like Tom suggested, go to their website and download a free copy of one of their older versions to give it a try. Another plus is that you can design a website using thier software and then publish it as a webpage and it will write all the code on it's own.  I recommend this software to a lot of people. I even find it easier and more versitile than MS Publisher which is alo a popular program.
