I would love to enter into some craft shows but my problem is I never know about them until the day that they happen or I see a sign a few days ahead. My question is how do you find out everything about them in enough time to be able to enter my things?

contact churches or civic centers to find out if and when they craft tables and when you go to a craft show talk the vendors they always know when the next show is and which one is worth showing up for and how much traffic you get, you should try to get into shows that have a lot of advertising! the more poeple that know of a show the better you do, I make up little notecards on the puter and give them to people at work to let them know where I'll be and if you are doing good make it inotr a coupon for a dollar off on orders over 10 or so, and good luck with your business! Depending on where you're located, there's usually printed directories of upcoming shows. I use East Coast Artisan (shows in the Northeast US), The Crafts Report (all over the US) and www.craftlister.com to help me find shows. Word of mouth from other crafters is also one of the best ways to learn of the better shows in your area.

We use http://www.craftlister.com, http://www.abccraftevents.com, and http://festivalnet.com to find and research craft shows. These guides will give you local, regional, and national events are are worth their weight in gold to the serious craft-show sellers.

Try Craft Shows Hard Copy. It gives souces for regional and state craft fairs.
I use the wisconsin Art Board website; it not only lists dates and locations, but estimated numbers, cost of booths, amenities, etc.
Best of luck.
