My wife and I are new at this. Is there a  list of craft fairs for the state of Arkansas. If not, how do you guys find out where they are? We will be having a variety of things, such as cross stitch art, scroll saw and wood items. Any help would be appreciated.

Try these websites, and see if they help you.   www.artandcraftshows.net     www.craftshowusa.com  www.craftmasternews.com      I'm going to try to get enough clocks and portraits together for a show in April.  It will be my first one, but I've been to the show in the past as an on looker, so I know how everything is set up .  Ron H

Gary,
This won't be of much help to you cause I couldn't find Arkansas but it may benefit some others looking to go to show this year!

Here is a link for some eastern states Pa. Del, Md, NJ, NY, Vir

I had to join the group to get the messages but....

Gary,
Keep an eye out in your local paper and many of the free papers. Sometimes you won't read about it until until the week of the show but many put something in the papers months in advance calling for crafters.

Also, when you do your first show, get friendly with your neighbors on both sides of you. Many times these seasoned crafters will share information with you on shows. Take some time also to walk around and introduce yourself to other crafters. You'll learn much.

Thanks,
Not too many shows in Arkansas. You would think there would be with all the "Ozark Craftsmen"

Marvin,
Of course a private "yell at me" is ok but I am sure that others who live in the Ozarks could benefit if information was posted!
Excuse me if I am wrong or out of place here but I thought one of the purposes of this board was to share information that would help others.

Hi Gary,

Here's an email address and phone # for a lady that produces a Marketing Directory for Arkansas Craft Producers. We didn't order one for 2003, because we have stopped selling at shows, so don't know if she has any for this year or not. It had a list of Craft Shows, Craft Shops, Craft Malls, Craft Guilds, etc. It cost $10.00, but well worth it. There are still a lot of shows in Arkansas, even though someone on this forum stated that we don't have very many. Just takes a little looking around.

Here's her info: Sharon Heidingsfelder, (501) 490-4043, [email protected].

Pappy John:
That was kinda thoughtless of me, wasn't it.
Was the post someone craftman sent with Arkansas info on here or was it private to me.
If so, I'll stick it on here.
Thanks for straightening me out. I need all the help I can get.
