Can you use green slab wood for scrolling or does it need to be dry?And how do you stop it from cracking?Any tips would be very helpful thank you

you can use green wood by going to store and buying liquid dishwasher soap and mixing it 2 to 1 and letting wood sit over night and that usually keep my wood that i turn on my lathe from splitting,but i,ve never try it with thin wood like scrolling size wood
