I'm sure this has been mentioned on this site before but I think it's worth mentioning again for those who are new.  Whenever I cut portraits I ALWAYS stack at least two.  There is always someone who wants the second one or if it's a commissioned portrait I offer the second one at a discount.  It doesn't take any more time to cut two and the only extra work is getting rid of the "fuzzies" which I do with a small torch so it's worth it for the extra $$ or the joy of giving someone a gift you've hand made.  My tip is that in addition to making two at a time I also put at least two pieces of posterboard in between the wood.  The posterboard cuts really clean and gives you a "bonus" cutting for your customer or you could offer it for maybe $5.00 or so. I keep one posterboard cutting for myself which I keep in my portfolio along with a copy of the original photo and a picture of the finished product. You can get the posterboard at the Dollar General store in 11 x 14 size (which is what I use for my portraits) for around $1.00 for 10 sheets.  If you don't have a Dollar General in your area most craft stores or office supply stores have it but it's about 1 1/2 times the cost. Carole
