Welcome Everett, I am not familiar with the Grizzely scroll saw. You want to get a saw that has all the controls up front, switch, tension lever,etc. I would also look for a saw that you can top feed with versus a bottom feeder. Top feeder you release the blade from the bottom clamp, raise the upper arm and blade, move the wood to the next hole, drop the arm and blade through the next hole, reclamp the blade, tension and saw. Bottom feeding is just the opposite, you have to bend down and guide the blade up through the next hole. You want to be able to run the saw before purchasing. Cheaper saws have a tendensy to vibrate a lot. You won't like scrolling if you get a saw that vibrates. Good luck with whichever saw you choose. Mick Delta P-20 |
