It is not expected to be a Doomsday scenario if things work according to the Divine plan - if enough of mankind awaken to their own spiritual essence, their soul, this will lift and cleanse much of the dark energy (thoughts and ideas) held within the group consciousness of mankind at this time.
Spirit friends seem to be happy with the progress of lifting the mentality of mankind into the light, so there is no need to worry my friend. There will still be much cleansing done to this planet - this is the reason for climate change and has nothing to do with the use of fossil fuels etc , although plundering this planet of her resources is not helping her balance herself but more to what he/she is thinking - for this planet is getting to the point when she, Gaia, cannot sustain herself, thus all the work being done in the inner and outer realms as Gaia cannot be allowed to die to this planet, her body, otherwise it would become nothing more than an asteroid and unable to sustain life of any kind...
