ABOUT SPIRIT , SPIRITUALITY & SPIRITUALISM ... A 21st Century View
Spiritualism is a way of life combining philosophy, science, and religion. As it covers the spectrum of life, one may need a certain amount of meditation or contemplation to understand it. Though it is hard to define with certainty, many Spiritualists agree on the following principles:
1. The Presence and Unity of God and Spirit throughout all Creation.
2. Respect for the individuality of each soul as a spark of God.
3. Connection of souls and humanity; thus the brotherhood of humanity with all creation.
4. Communion of people, spirits, angels, guides and God.
5. Life everlasting in the continuous existence of the soul.
6. Personal responsibility of each soul; for its own expression, experience and growth.
7. The balancing of all things through the eternal and unbounded progression of every soul.
A Brief History of Spiritualism
The recognition of and belief in Spirit, spirits and souls has roots deep in history and even beyond the written word. Thus, it transcends all religions, for Spirit is in its essence is like "Stem Cells" in the physical world. So, all religions were formed out of the universal energy of "Spirit Cells", each differentiating and grouping into a unique representation of its concept of perfection in finite form. (God is multi-faceted)
Modern Spiritualism started in the U.S., in New York with "tappings" that the Fox sisters began to work with in 1848. The study of spirit connections and mediumship then migrated to Britain where Spiritualism flourishes today. Of course there have been many famous and not so famous people involved with this movement such as Swedenbourg, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Dr. James M. Peebles.

Thus, the English people have loved Circles for many millennia; including, Wooden Circles, Stone Circles, Traffic Circles and even Spirit Circles. You Are Divine Life, Light and Love
All of humanity was created as a spark of divinity, divinely inspired as a part of All-That-IS; never apart from, so always a part of divinity and able to light the world.
We Spiritualists believe in Everlasting Life and the survival of the personality after so called death. Thus, death is but a doorway or a birth into the next, new, expanded existence. As the Universe expands, so does the Soul.
The human being is an expression of divine love operating on many levels. The physical body that we see is but one of these energy domains. Thus this body exists, in concert with spiritual, mental, emotional, and several other bodies or energy vibrational patterns. During what we call "life", a silver cord connects the physical with the spiritual, allowing love and chi to flow to humanity. At ''death'' that cord is cut, thus releasing the soul, to be born into a greater awareness of spirit.
And, so it is at physical birth, a baby that was joined to its mother for nourishment by a cord must be cut loose so that the new born child may develop to its greatest potential in its new life. Thus, the cutting of any cord only guarantees a graduation into a new more expansive life.
We are All already Spiritual
We don't have to wait until death to become spirit, for we are already spirits, manifesting through the flesh, much as The Master of Love did. This fleshy body is our vehicle, or space suit, made especially for the learning experiences we have chosen to learn in this school called Earth. As a university is composed of many schools, the Universe also has many opportunities for learning, and Earth is but one school among many in the multi-universes. Thus there is no need to fear death, for we are all on a journey, conceived in love, within life everlasting.
You Create Your Own Life
As we are all made in the image of Creator we too are creators, forming our lives according to what we believe or dis-believe. So, if we choose to see it that way, we are in the midst of heaven, as we use our light and love. Heaven and hell are but states of focusing the mind or emotion, not geographical locations or ending points. So, in the here and now, we have a God-given right and need to make choices in our life; so we may create a heaven or a hell to our liking.
So, in truth there is no hell where inhabitants are condemned for eternity. For, once self realization and self acceptance dawns, the individual is ready to advance with the help of enlightened spiritual beings that are always close by and ready to help. God is Love and love is energy, thus love is in all and formed all. So, these beings come from the basic energy of the universe, which is love. Some have lived on earth before so they understand our situations. Your loved ones are part of this group, and may be visited within your dreams and visions. So there is much more to life than meets the physical eye.
Everything in the universe works according to Natural Law: of communication, loving allowance, and self-responsibility. So when one understands these things, ''supernatural'' phenomena become super-natural and thus are seen as super-normal. So those Psychics or Mediums you have seen who seem to sense ''probabilities'' in the past or future are using natural law, natural energies and natural senses, just as scientists who use technologies, tools and ''probabilities'' to predict with.
God is not a man upon a cloud, but is instead the grand spirit of universal and unbounded love and creativity, including both male and female principles! To give a name or a picture of God-Goddess only limits our perception of want is possible. Thus, our spiritual teachers have said: ''In God all things are possible''.
We are all sons and daughters of the most high. And our earthly Masters and spiritual teachers have shown us, by their example, some of what is possible. But "you may do even more thah I do" was the promice of the Great Teacher and Master of Love; Jesus.
