Meditation on Light
The colours of the spectrum contained in pure white
The simple Laws of Nature are tested in the light
The Light that sparked creation, the Light that holds us near
The Lilght that calls us homeward, the Light that makes things clear
The Light that grows much brighter, as it helps us all to thrive
The Light that shows compassion ensuring we survive
The Light that casts no shadows, as it rises deep inside
The Light that sees a part of us, we sometimes wish to hide
It's not a question of religion, of colour or of creed
But a natural progression, of a simple human need
The Light that reigns eternal, in the shining of the sun
The Light that shows the pathways of the journeys we've begun
When the journey is over and we finally depart
The Light will take us home again as it merges in the heart
Linda Fallen
I wrote this poem a while ago when I particularly appreciated how one or two local people were encouraging and helping me with my card venture. However, it's very apt again as this group is encouraging and appreciating the poetry I am posting.
Spurring me on
"Spurring me on" - the very words seem to conjure up
Action, encouragement, confidence
No-one knows how their kindness holds you up
No-one knows how by a few words here and there
What a difference they can make
Words that are commonplace to the giver
But oh how they spur you on!
