Although it has been a good while since I have been in here I am always amazed at the mountain of information you have. I have been out of commission for a long time due to a severe injury and just recently have gotten my legs back under me. But the reason for this post is, I have a friend who doesn't do computers but he was given a pristine German Luger complete with a shoulder mount apparatus. The gun was captured by the Allied forces under General Scott. The Luger has an engraving from General Scott to the individual that my friend got the gun from. The owner of the pistol presented my friend with it as a birthday present a few days ago.

 

Now the question is how can I determine the value of the Luger for my friend? Is there someone in here who could give a rough apprasial of it or does anyone know where I can go to to obtain collectors' values for weaponry such as this? Thanks for your help.
