1) Use your vote wisely on election days; put the right people in office

2) Join at least one pro-gun organization (below are some options)
-Join the N.R.A., the largest pro-gun lobby, for as little as 10 dollars a year
-Join G.O.A. (Gun Owners of America), regarded as the only no-compromise gun lobby, for $20 bucks a year
-Join J.P.F.O. (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership), you don't have to be Jewish, and this group speaks authoritatively. They also send you substantial educational materials upon joining. also 20 bucks a year.
-Join Second Amendment Sisters, named Gun Rights Organization of the Year Gun Rights Policy Conference 2000. Being female is a requirement for full membership ($25.00 per year, for women age 25 and over. $15.00 per year, for for ages 14-24), BUT, men can become associate members for only 15 dollars a year.
3) Educate yourself on the issues

-and remember, always try to debate anti-gunners w/ a polite attitude, people are rarely won over with rants like, "your an idiot!" (even if they are)

You can find what bills are proposed, when they are due for debate on the floor, and also what the actual language of the bill is.
All of these have search engines that will help you find your Representative or Senator. Or you can contact the President from the last link. But don't hold your breath for a reply. A hand written letter is still the best way to get their attention.
