I am not one of these people who believe that the world will end if Barack Obama is elected president on November 4th, 2008. Such beliefs speak of the anti-Bush crowd whose sole function is to charge our current president with every calamity to befall our country since the Great Chicago Fire. I do, however, believe that America as we know it and has existed since 1776 will cease to be if he is elected. I understand that this is a bold claim to make but that is what I do; I examine the data, toss in a great deal of history, and use my uncanny ability to gauge the future.
Yes, I know, there will be many out there who will cry foul ?or worse ?over my dire predictions, but there will always be people out there who seek to be berate my beloved America. It just goes with the territory. So, speak ill of me if you want, but do not characterize my country as evil just because you desire to unravel 232 years of history.
The main fault that I find with Senator Obama’s candidacy is that it displays fervent popularity without substance. Four years ago, I had to endure a lecture from an Australian living in Thailand on how this character Obama would be the next great president of the United States. That is scary, if you think about it. Someone who had never been to the United States could boast that someone few within this country had heard about would be “great?for us. Makes you wonder who wants him to be our president the most ?America, or the world.
The indisputable facts are that Senator Obama lacks credible experience to run the most powerful nation on the planet. His defenders merely deflect the issue by attacking others instead of elevating their candidate. His ultimate achievement, his Senate seat, seems to be ignored in favor of his greater ambitions. Even Senator Hillary Clinton served out a complete term before she announced her own candidacy. Yet, Barack Obama seems to have been ordained within this new ministry since day one.
This ministry seems set to convert America into something that it has never been and never should be. His historical choice of acquaintances share a common thread and that is blatant anti-Americanism. He espouses the culture of death, berates his fellow countrymen who believe in God and guns, and desires surrender in current wars while preaching aggression in wars that have not even commenced yet. These thoughts are not from my words, they are from his.
Senator Obama is riding a wave of resentment based almost exclusively on the status of our economy. Yet, the economic challenges that we face are the direct result of his type of socialism; that the individual is guaranteed of certain inalienable privileges without responsibility on their part. It flies in the face of President Kennedy’s challenge by retreating to selfish expectations of what our country can do for us. I do not know about you, but I do not have enough money in my coffers to pay for all of the programs that he promises and simple logic states that the wealthy ?%?that he wishes to tax have enough tax write-offs from this recent stock crisis to weather the next twenty years. Senator Obama wants to tax the people who make over $250,000 per year but somehow I just do not see him taxing his wife who makes nearly double that.
Last night’s presidential debate was truly a revelation. All the Democrat and Liberal pundits were quick to praise Obama as the winner. Oh, really? What did he accomplish to make him the winner? Senator John McCain lived through the Second World War, the Korean War, and served within Vietnam where he spent five years being brutally tortured within a communist prison. I do not know if you have noticed, but there are reasons that his arms do not function as well as yours and mine do. After this, when John McCain could have been resentful and angry, he chose to serve his constituents in Washington for two decades. That is how he managed to find himself standing upon that stage last night.
Barack Obama came from a poor neighborhood in Chicago and defeated Hillary Clinton. That is his entire claim to fame, that he survived Democratic socialism to rise up to lead its efforts. He is not intelligent, in my opinion; he is merely a smooth talker. He lacks credible experience dealing with the kind of issues that confront America today. He exists largely for the same reason that Nancy Pelosi is only “two heartbeats?away from the presidency. He has connections.
During the debates, I have noticed that Barack Obama speaks in short, quick sentences. It is as if Elvis had never left the building. He says a few words, stops, then starts again all the while jerking his head in tune with his words. On the campaign trail, surrounded by his cronies, he appears more fluid and natural suggesting that his words are what he wants to tell you instead of what you need to hear.
If you listen closely, you will note that Senator Obama preaches nothing but divisiveness. The same kind uttered by the likes of Adolf Hitler and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He excludes five percent of your neighbors and fellow citizens from his promises of tax relief. He caricaturizes those who believe in personal responsibility and faith as fanatics by suggesting that guns and God are simply security blankets. His most egregious beliefs center on turning those who protect your freedoms and lives into losers. I do not know about you, but if someone is risking their ass on protecting mine, then they better win at all costs. Senator Obama does not see it that way.
Senator Obama, like his buddy Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (hey, if you want to sit down and chat with someone you have to at least be on friendly terms with them), believes that tiny Georgia was responsible for attacking Putin’s Russia. Senator Obama wants to allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons but desires to disarm all Americans from all semi-automatic weapons. He wants to help Darfur, but turns his back on the tiniest of Americans who die by the millions each year through abortions. Is this the kind of president that we need, especially during a war against fanatics?
Personally, I do not hold any grudges against Senator Obama. I would not hold any grudges against Adolf Hitler for that matter. I do, however, hold blame against those who place these types of people into positions of power as, undoubtedly, some liberals blame me for voting for President Bush. Senator Obama would still be an unknown charity organizer if it were not for the droves of people who seem to think that he is a magician. Take a close look at his followers, especially those that provide his backdrop whenever he is on the campaign trail. Look into their eyes. Some are star struck, for reasons that totally bewilder me. The man is a senator and a wannabe president. At most, he is a public servant and we, people, are the public. The others, the vast majority of the people that I see surrounding him appear dazed and confused. If they were to enter my place of business, I would have security (or at least a receptionist) kindly ask if they were lost and escort them back out through the door. These are the ones that I blame for our nation’s trouble.
No person has a right to cast a vote, for Democrat or Republican, base solely upon a candidate’s appearance, demeanor, or words alone. We have an intense obligation to sort through the hyperbole, scrutinized the facts, determine what is beneficial to the country as a whole, and to uphold the Constitution to the best of our ability. God may occasionally save the king, but He blessed the United States of America. We now have only twenty-seven days to return the favor and prevent our nation from descending further into a culture of death for the benefit of such opportunists.
