The Where to Shoot web site provides quick and easy access to target shooting and hunting facilities. Simply specify a state to view all ranges within that state, or narrow the search by area code, zip code.

HOW TO USE THIS WEB SITE
The Wheretoshoot web site is a valuable tool to help you locate a shooting or hunting facility that will meet your needs. The heart of the wheretoshoot web site is FIND A PLACE TO SHOOT.

You can search our database for all the facilities in a geographic area or you can narrow your search even further by defining specific types of shooting activities and facility amenities. To get started, click on FIND A PLACE TO SHOOT and specify a state in table 1. If you want to narrow the focus of your search to a smaller geographic area, enter an area code or zip code in table 2. Finally, you can further customize your search by identifying the type of shooting opportunities and/or facility amenities that you’re looking for from the list in table 3. Click on “Find?and the ranges that meet your needs will be displayed on the right-hand side of your screen. Click on a range name to get more complete information about the facility including contact information and a link to their web site.

We strongly recommend that you contact the facility before showing up to shoot. Hours may change or the facility might be closed to public shooting that day for a competition or special event. It’s also a good idea to make sure the range still offers the services and shooting opportunities you desire. We do everything we can to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in the wheretoshoot web site, but we are dependant upon others?to provide that information and keep it up-to-date.

The National Association of Shooting Ranges FIVE STAR RATING SYSTEM can help you find a facility that meets your needs and desires. Generally speaking, One- and Two-Star Facilities provide an opportunity to go shooting, while NASR Five-Star Facilities are the best of the best at providing a quality recreation experience. To view the NASR Five-Star Facilities, click here.

Another feature of the wheretoshoot web site is a description of some of the many diverse activities and competitions available within the shooting sports. SHOOTING SPECIALTIES is an index of fact sheets and articles that describe that competition or activity. Click on the competition or activity of interest.
