Any idea where I can find load info for a 12 ga. Damascus barreled shotgun? I know better than to shoot modern ammo out of it.

Slant, as you know, the Damascus barrels were meant to fire only Black Powder, there may be some reload recipes available in VERY old handloading manuals, but none of my old ones have any info for them. You might look at Lyman's Black Powder book, still available from Midway.

Don't do it. Every one of those pretty lines on the barrel is a seam that may have deteriorated over the years with no exterior evidence of damage or weakness.

The only thing I would possibly consider doing to test the barrel is something like what was known as Magna-Fluxing or one of its successor processes for detection of interior flaws in metal.

One more thing - if the action is sound, you may want to consider having a set of barrels made for it and keep the Damascus set for show.
