I remember in the Army seeing an old training film about cartridges. It stated that the neck down cartridge was invented by a man named White. He sold the patten to two compaines, Winchester and Smith&Wesson. Winchester said they would not make a pistol using this technology and Smith & Wesson said they would'nt make a rifle using it. White then went into the refrigeration business (White Westinghouse?). Anybody know if there is any truth to this or is just a Gun Myth. Thanks, Big Jim |
