Hey, Lewis,
Yup, I've not only heard of them, I own 3 of them! I have the .32 ACP, (which I bought for my wife, heh heh--), and a 9MM and a .380ACP. They are nice looking inexpensive little guns, and have a lot of features found on much more expensive handguns, including adjustable sights! Accuracy wise, they're not too shabby, but all seem to have a VERY hard trigger pull. No doubt due to the scumbag "shark" lawyers who seem to thrive on other people's misery and bad luck, and who are trying to do to the firearms industry what they did to the tobacco industry, (all the while getting filthy rich themselves, from the "settlements".
I had heard that Jennings/Bryco (it's the same outfit), was sued by the family of a kid who got shot by one of their guns, it seems that the kid found the loaded gun in the house, when his parents weren't home, and took it to his "babysitter"-- this jek who knew NOTHING about guns decided he was going to "clear" the piece, and ended up shooting the kid in the mouth--. Mind you, EVERY Jennings comes with a good trigger lock, right in the box, seems to me the parents should have had the brains to lock the handgun and put it out of reach of the kids, when they go out. But shark lawyers are very good at placing the blame on the wrong peoiple-- Jennings got sued, for this idiot's stupidity, and I don't know if they survived the lawsuit.
Anyway, if you need to see an "exploded" view of the parts list, I have one, and can scan and send it to you. Be VERY careful disassembling them, as there is a small spring and part that loves to go flying, (don't ask me how I know that!!! LOL!)
I did call the factory, when I bought my first Jennings/Bryco, and asked about the hard trigger pull, the dude there told me to send it back to them and they would adjust it, free.
Hope this has been of help
Cheers,
Fred (Honcho)
