On the cylinder it says ".22 W.M.R.F. only", what do the letters stand for?
The barrel, the cylinder, and the trigger guard are nicely blued, however the frame is of a different finish, (possibly nickel?) It is slightly
tarnished, like an old quarter, would it be ill-advised to clean off the tarnish?
Is it common that the gun be made of two different type metals?
How do I find out how old the gun is? Can I find this info using the serial number?
Can anyone estimate the value of this revolver?
I was left this pistol when my Uncle passed on and I am very courious about it.
The wood grip is beauitiful, can anyone tell me what type of wood it might be. It looks a lot like my Great-GrandFathers Rocking chair,
which is made of Tiger Oak.
Thank you very much for you help.
