Whitetails.com- Whitetail Deer Game Management

As hunters we should all take an interest in game management. We should always follow all hunting regulations. Turn in poachers - State fish & wildlife departments . Report dogs that chase wildlife - State fish & wildlife

The State fish & wildlife departments are sometimes looking for volunteers to help count wildlife, help relocate wildlife, help in feeding programs, help at check stations, help building and maintaining trails, etc.

The largest game management organization that we have is our federal and state government. To connect with your State or Province wildlife department's web site click State fish & wildlife departments

The following links are to organizations and individuals that are involved in game management.

What else can We do to help?

If you don't belong to the National Rifle Association , join now. The NRA does more for our right to Keep and Bear Arms than any other organization.
We have an election coming up, make sure you vote for candidates that believe in our right to Keep and Bear Arms. You can't manage game without hunters and most hunters use guns to hunt. So get out there and vote for our rights.

There are many things that can be done at a local level to help wildlife and to make sure that more species are not endangered.

Find out about your local wildlife. What interesting native animals live in your area? They may need your help.

Look after your local habitat. Habitat destruction is the main reason why species disappear. What groups are working to conserve or rehabilitate your local habitat?

Look after your pets and plants. Looking after your pets will help wildlife. Do not let them run loose in our forests. Never dump unwanted pets or garden plants in our forests.

Conserve resources. Recycle and re-use wherever you can. This puts less pressure on habitats.

Get involved in local issues. Find out about local issues that may affect wildlife. Write about your concerns to politicians. Join a local community or environment group.

Consider a career working with wildlife. A career as a zoologist, biologist or wildlife manager can be extremely rewarding.

Volunteer to assist groups working on endangered species. See your local State fish & wildlife department
