 Hello Gunrockets: I find the 160gr. bullet to be too heavy and unstable in my 1894 carbine [17 1/2" barrel @ 1-7 1/2 twist]. The recipee my carbine likes is; 129gr. Hornady semi-pointed Norma cases 200 CCI primer 45gr. Hornady H-380 yield just over 2600 fps 100 yd. = 1 1/4" group 200 yd. = 3" group Shot from sand bag rest, sights were origional military open iron circa: 1904. Toomuch |
