Hey Gang, hope every one is enjoying the "Presidents Day" weekend. I need some help finding a receipe. Trying to create a lite 20 gauge load for my son.
Hull: Federal 2 3/4"
Primer: Remington 209P
Powder: Hodgdon International (preferred since I can load it in my 12 gauge after I get through the three bottles of Clays {ever frugal}) or Universal
Wad: Claybuster (WAA 20F1)
Shot: 7/8 oz. #9
Looking for something in the range of 980 f.p.s. I bought him a case of Winchester AA Win-Lites in #8 that travel the same, but I want to start him on the skeet range and they want only #9 shot there. He will be using a Remington 870 youth 20 gauge so no worries about ejection. He is slight in stature hence the light load, ever thing I found on the Web was at least 1100 f.p.s. or more. Oh . . . Great and Knowledgeable Ones, any help? 3k
