I am seriously trying to decide whether or not to buy a Brn Golden sporting clays shotgun. I have heard the gun has had a reputation for feeding and ejection failures. Also have heart the coin colored finish on these and even the Citoris have been reported to be pitting. This sort of thing is hard for me to bellieve about Browning. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience regarding this??? Thanks, Bob |

In my experience the finishes on Brownings are maybe a little more delicate than many of the other makes. On my Citori this is not a problem as the gun gets the care it deserves. On my BPS this is a problem as the gun finish is gone, due to extra-severe use, waterfowl hunting. The gun has been in the worst conditions; under water, frozen, muddied beyond belief and it has never failed me once. My point is, it is not necessarrily the guns fault. I gave up on that finish and camo'd it and clear coated it-end of problem. I haven't had any problems with the Citori finish under normal hunting and range conditions, just take care of it. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting, Butch |
