The Old Testament law commanded the Jews not to intermarry with other races (Deuteronomy 7:3-4).  The reason for this is that the Jews would be led astray from God if they intermarried with idol worshippers, pagans, or heathens.  A similar principle is laid out in the New Testament, but at a much different level:  “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness??(2 Corinthians 6:14)  Just as Jews (believers in the one true God) were commanded not to marry nonbelievers, so Christians (believers in the one true God) are commanded not to marry unbelievers.  To answer your question specifically, no, the Bible does not say it is wrong to marry someone outside of your own race.

            A person should be judged by his or her character, not by skin color.  All of us, including myself, should be careful not to show favoritism to some, nor be prejudice or racial to others (James 2:1-10, see especially verse 1 and 9).  A Christian man or woman's standard for selecting a mate should always be to find out if the person they are interested in is a Christian (2 Corinthians 6:14), someone who is born again by faith in Christ (John 3:3-5).  The only reason skin color should be considered is because of the difficulties a mixed couple may experience because others will have a hard time accepting them.  The only restriction placed on whom a Christian may marry is whether the other person is a member of the Body of Christ.

How do you feel about it? What are your thoughts?

The biblical principle has nothing to do with race or colour. It has to do with what you believe. It is basically saying make sure you are yoked together with a person who believes the same as you do or there will be conflict.

Righteousness has no fellowship with unrighteousness.
Being a friend of sinners does not mean you are in fellowship with them.
Jesus was a friend of sinners. He ate with them  but did not fellowship with them. His righteousness did not fellowship with their unrighteousness. They were of different spirits.

Being married to someone means you beomce ONE  with them in body as well as in Spirit. However, (for the oneness people), it does not mean a husband and a  wife become one person. They are still two but united as ONE and they end up making three or four or five or more of the same kind who are all the ONE family.

Good on you Bro. Bryan, you are correct. The bar it on unbelieving partners, not on orher races. I like what you said. There is a christian man here whose wife (a winderful Christian) died of cancer. He has since married a much younger lady who is a Christian from Taiwan. They have just had a wee baby daughter. God can work things out! Bob Wood

I believe there are only TWO races of people...... the rest are nationalities.....

I believe the "races" are the Kingdom of God (believers) and those outside of Christ..... I do not believe they should marry... I believe only Christians should marry other Christians and not marry non-believers.....

However...... Since we are in Christ, I believe anyone can marry anyone from another nationality... As long as they are in Christ Jesus of course!!....

Blessings

I absolutely love small Asian girls. I find them incredibly good looking. I dated one once last year and I met some very nice ones in Bali a few weeks ago.

God is no respecter of person, and neither should we be.  Other than ensuring that we are with other like-minded Holy Ghost filled Chistians, there are no barriers to who we should marry, of course excluding same sex marriages.  God's command always centered around no mingling with those who are not believers.  That's one temptation you don't need in your house, you might slip up and start worshiping their gods like Solomon did.  Best not to live with them as your "help mete."

ETHIOPIA AND EGYPT ARE INDEED IN AFRICA, BUT MESOPOTAMIA, SHINAR, AND CHALDEA WERE ALL IN ASIA WHERE IRAQ AND IRAN EXIST TODAY.

I can't very well complain about "interracial" marriages because I HAVE ONE
My FIL was dead set against us getting married for that reason.

Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Revelation 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Kindred: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=5443&t=KJV

Tongue: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=1100&t=KJV

Nation: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=1484&t=KJV

(ethnos - from which we get the word "ethnic" )

People: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=2992&t=KJV

However people categorize and classify people, each group is going to be represented in heaven. I see four separate classifications: by language, by bloodline, by geographical location, and by other cultural or social grouping. It looks to me like skin color is not particularly distinguished, but it would be foolish to think that it is not represented in one of these four classifications.
