Read Scriptures 2 Kings 6:8- 8:15
Situation: Aram was a region in southern Syria. The kings of Aram and Israel frequently fought each other with tenuous times of peace between the battles. During one raid, the Arameans arrived at night and surrounded the city. This caused Elisha's servant to be greatly afraid but the prophet told him not to fear.
Observation: Elisha was not disturbed by what he saw; instead he gave his servant the ability to see the invisible spirits that are constantly ready to do God's work. The Lord was in control, and there was no need to worry.
Application: It has been noted that most of the things that we worry about don't even come to pass. It's proper to let God know about your concerns, for Jesus said He would provide rest for your soul.
Exploration: Worry- Deuteronomy 31:6-8; Joshua 1:5-9; Matthew 6:25-34; Philippians 4:6-9; Revelation 1:17-18
