Psalm 114:1-2
When Israel came out of Egypt
the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue
Judah became God's sanctuary,
Israel his dominion
Judah has God's sanctuary in the sense that
God lived among his people,
first in the tabernacle and later in the temple.
Likewise Israel was also God's dominion, his kingdom on earth.
Because of God's presence they were given that position;
with Israel being the people where God so chose to dwell
If we would be awed being in His presence
we would desire to bring Glory of His name
because of His love and faithfulness
Psalm 114:7 &115:1
Salvation brings us forth on a journey in life
to thus encounter the fulness and benefits of Salvation.
When we come to Jesus and accept Him into our life
having faith in whom He is and that which He has accomplished
He brings us forth to be a sanctuary or temple of the
Holy Spirit
WE ARE TO BE YOKED WITH CHRIST
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
What harmony is there between Christ and Belial?
What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?
FOR WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD.
As God has said:
"I will live with them and walk among them, and
I will be their God and they will be my people"
11 Corinthians 6: 14-16
YOKED MEANS TO BE IN AGREEMENT WITH
TO BE SUBMISSIVE TO CHRIST'S AUTHORITY
1 Corinthians 6: 19
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the
Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received
from God?
THEREFORE HONOR GOD WITH YOUR BODY
Honoring God reflects the intimate relationship
believers have with Christ
GOD THUS DWELLS IN US AS WE HAVE SO RESPONDED IN FAITH TO JESUS CHRIST WITH THE POWER AND PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BEING ALIVE AND ACTIVE
AFFECTING EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIFE
O to taste of the Lord's presence with the power of
His Kingdom being relevant and personal
COME LORD JESUS
REVIVE OUR SPIRIT
WITH YOUR WORD TRANSFORMING OUR MINDS
YOUR LOVE BRINGING RESTORATION TO OUR EMOTIONS
AND YOUR GRACE AFFECTING EVERY ASPECT OF OUR NATURAL BEING
THAT WE WOULD BE YOUR VESSELS
VESSELS OF PRAISE
IN WHOM YOU WOULD REACH FORTH TO OTHERS
