Hi all...

I visited Arwen yesterday for about three hours. She came right to me. After about 30 she got her first wing clip (boy was she mad!!!!). She would not even look at me or Marie (the breeder) for anther 20 minutes.... Then she started slowly started making his was from the far side of the loveseat to my side. As long as I was not lloking at her she would inch closer. The second she saw me looking she would back off. She was so funny. BY the end of the visit she climbed up my arm and perched (arms crossed in front of my chest). She would take her beak and nuzzle against my chin. She like climbing all over me like she was exploring my body. I was so amazed at how well she could hold on to me.

She is definatly an amazing bird. I havn't even brought her home and I am so in love. Everyone at work and home says Arwen is all I talk about.... It is nice to get on here and read all the discussions. I know I can post and everyone here feels the same about their own birds.

Misty

Isn't it funny how all consuming our feathered friends are?  I know I'm one to jabber on and on when meeting someone who shows even the slightest interest in them.  Poor folks...once I get em in my bird webbing....they can't get away fast enough.

Arwen is showing lots of personality....better watch out...she'll have you trained in no time.

Nanners, I'm guessing that 'wywa' translates as 'eyes'? hehe

Misty, it sure sounds like you and Arwen are a match made in heaven!

Hi Misty I know just how your feeling when I ws waiting to bring Tyco home I was always talking about her My family is so tired of hearing about my birds that they tell me that I have to talk about something else. I tell them when they were little they were all I talked about. Now that they're grown I needed something to amuse me. I now the day before I brought Tyco home I was going absolutly nuts. I scrubbed my house from top to bottom cooked everything I thought she might enjoy. and bought so many fruits and veggies that I had to cook some and freeze them so they wouldn't go bad before they all got eaten It was silly. I couldn't sleep all I could think about was Tyco's comin home.  Tyco is very spiecel to my as I've been wanting a Grey for 20 years and there was always another bird that need me more. so finally I said thats it I'm going to get my Grey now. And I did and she wonderful she 4yrs old and has had a rough life but not anymore. She so sweet she just always wants me around talks up a storm when I'm in the other room though and some of what she says is stuff that I say to her she learns really fast I gott watch what I say to her or she will be telling my secretsLOL.

I know just what you mean. I have to wait to bring vinnie home and I bet when the lady sees me she says to herself, not her again. I swear he cocks his head when i talk like he listening so intently.  My grandkids love to go see him. I finally let them hold him this week.  My Grandaughter just fell in love with him.  It's amazing how quickly we fall in love with our birds.  Kathy
