Hi, I just was wondering if there are more food choices out there besides just seed, cuttlebone, salads etc. I heard people feed their canaries soaked seed, or mashes? What other things are there and how do you make them. I find just veggies and pellets to be quite boring. All help would be appreciated! Thank you! - Kyra |

I use prepackaged salad confetti. It has nicly diced carrots, brocolli, cabbage, radish, cauliflower, bell pepper and celery. It is very convenient, has good variety, and grocery stores carry it in the produce department. My only sugguestion is to watch the dating for freshness. |

Boiled egg , mashed up with a very little cottage cheese, beet greens, kale, cucumber slices, thin melon slices, dandelion greens, wheat grasses. I dump my old seeds in large flower pots and let them grow into tall plants and pull then out by the roots and put the entire plant in my canaries cages. They act like they are in heaven when I do that. di |
