, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Jesus said that. While he was absorbing all the sins of the world, past present, and future. Every time you sin you pull farther away from God, although He will never leave you. He could feel everything, because He was without sin. Don’t you think He said it because he could feel the sin pulling Him away from the Father?.

God  FORSOOK  Jesus entirely!!!!!!

For in this moment, Jesus had acutally  BECOME  the biggest, and only sinner of this world;  for as you said,  he took upon Him the sins of the whole world.

Then how say some of you, that you were born in sin?  No,  you were not born in sins;  for Jesus cleansed the whole world right here.  If not,  then how did he take upon himself the sins of the  WHOLE  WORLD?

People just do not really study and look at what the Word really teaches.  If a baby is a sinner when he is born into this world,  then Jesus did NOT  take this person's sins upon himself.

It is only by rejecting Jesus that one is sent into hell.  He goes there by rejecting the Word of God as taught in the written Scriptures.  If one rejects the New Testament way of salvation,  they are guilty of the blood of Jesus;  they are crucifying to themselves the Son of God afresh and anew.  God will not forgive this.  You cannot go to heaven any other way than that which is expressily taught in the New Testament.

If you reject the Holy Ghost as taught in Acts 2--- there is nothing left for you except to go to hell;  for you do reject the provided way which Jesus gave us by his death.

Jesus died as a sinner;  even though he himself never did commit a single sin;  he took all of our sins upon himself;  therefore, God forsook him there on the cross.  But God raised him out of that grave and hell, to be born again;  into the image of the invisible God.

The truth is so very beautiful;  but the lies of the whore church takes away all this beautiful truth.

Jo

14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Gal 6:14 (KJV)

The pain and suffering that Jesus went through were nothing compared to him having to be forsaken by God. Jesus?physical and spiritual death began before cavalry, it began at Gethsemane.

In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus was not praying to be saved from physical death. He was praying to be delivered from the punishment all separation from God which is the ultimate penalty of sin. He prayed “nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.?/P>

We can say all through the Scriptures where Jesus was blindfolded, mocked, beaten, nailed to the cross by spikes drove in his hands and his feet, given vinegar to drink, pierced in his side, and left to die.

“My God, My God, why has tho forsaken me,?-- testifies that he experienced separation from God as the sinners substitute. Here the sorrow, grief and pain are at the worse. He died forsaken that we may never be forsaken.

It was the will of God that his son be sent to die on the cross for a lost world. By making Jesus an atoning sacrifice for all sins, God’s purpose of bringing many people to salvation has been accomplished.

What is so beautiful about Jesus allowing himself to be forsaken by God, is that he did not have to do it. He said in one place that you can not take my life, but I give it freely. He also said in another place that I could have called 10,000 angels. Praise God that Jesus Christ died forsaken that we could have life and having it more abundantly. No greater love can a man have that would lay down his life for his brethren. Thank you Jesus for your love.

Isaiah 54

 1.  Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

 2.  Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
 3.  For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

 4.  Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

 5.  For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
 6.  For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

 7.  For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
 8.  In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
 9.  For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

 10.  For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
 11.  O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

 12.  And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
 13.  And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
 14.  In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
 15.  Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

 16.  Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
 17.  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

I know this is a lot of Scripture for one post.  But it is very interesting to note that this chapter is dealing with God forsakeing Jesus at the cross.

I know this kind of Scripture is hard for some to see it as speaking of Jesus.  But that is who this 'forsaken' wife is.

Most people teach it is about natural Israel;  but no.  Of course at the time of crucifixion, Jesus was the head of the Old Israel.  And as such is linked with her.  But Jesus is truly the head of the N.T., which is the New Jerusalem.  Therefore as head of this new 'city ' of God, he is part of the wife of God, the Bride, = the N.T. City.

A Women and A city, and a mountain, and hills, rivers, are all symbols of the Wife of God.

Jesus is that woman in Rev. 12 who was in travail to bring forth the children of God.  He is this forsaken wife here in Isa. 54.  The shame of her youth is this shame he bore at Calvary.  He dispised the 'shame'.

He despised have to be 'forsaken' by His Husband, God.  God is the 'husbandman"  so says the Word.  A 'vine' in the Word represents a wife.  It is in Psalms.

Jesus said I am the vine, my Father us the 'husbandman'.

v8--In a little wrath I hid my face from thee.. but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

This is God the Father speaking to His Son, to His wife, to his sheep, to his servant, to his sacrifice for sins - I will have Mercy on you and bring you up into the likeness and glory of God.

Then your 'children' will inherit the Gentiles = the Church of the N.T. made up of peoples of the whole world.

I just wanted to bring this in with this thread of why God forsook Jesus.

I really think, from the way Jesus cried ====  WHY ===  that this took Jesus by surprise;  that he was not expecting to have to go there all alone, without God.

Math. 26: 37-39-Talks about he begins to be sorrowful.

Luke.-22:44-“His sweat was as it were great drops of blood.?They say under great stress the small capillaries in the sweat glands can burst and mix blood with sweat.

Mat.26:39- Where Jesus is praying ?Let this cup pass from me?Jesus was not praying to be delivered from physical death. He was praying to be delivered from the punishment of separation from God which is the ultimate penalty of sin. Jesus prayed that his physical death might be accepted as full payment for the sins of all.

?Nevertheless not as I will but as tho wilt.?[here is where Jesus committed himself to undergo both physical pain and spiritual separation from God in order that we might have salvation thro his blood.]

Mat.-26:67-Jesus is blind folded, mocked repeal, spat on, struck in the face.

Mat.27:26-Scronging was the worst torture of the Romans soldiers. A whip used as a means of punishment. The whip used for this type of punishment consisted of a handle to which one or more leather cords or throngs were attached.

These cords were knotted or weighed with pieces of bone to make the whip more effective as a flesh cutting instrument. The blows were laid on the victims back by two men, one lashing from one side, one from the other side.

This resulted in the flesh being cut to such an extent that veins, arteries, sometimes inner organs were exposed. I know you are wondering how I know this because I have read it in books, Go to the library and check out a book on Nero and see for yourselves.

Isa.-55:5-Refers to the scouring of Jesus-[ “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.?

Jesus was crucified because we all have sinned and are guilty before God. As our substitute, he took the punishment due us and paid the penalty for our sins. He paid a debt that we owed. Jesus endured his suffering for us patiently and voluntary.

Mat.-27:31-speaks of how the Romans soldiers mocked him and strike him giving him vinegar mixed with gall.

Mat.-27:31-39-The heavy beam of the cross is tied to the shoulder of Jesus he begins the slow journey to Golgotha the weight of the sins of the world together with physical exhaustion causes him to fall. Simon is compelled to bear his cross.

At Golgotha nails or large pieces of iron are driven threw his hands and feet. He is then lifted on the cross to die. Talking about the suffering and pain and the agony of all the sins of the world how was Jesus able to do this? ?Not my will but thine will be done.?

Math.-27:46=These words mark the end of Jesus suffering for a lost world. His cry in Arabic ?My God, My God, why has tho forsaken me,?testifies that he experiences separation from God as the sinners substitute. Here the sorrow, grief and pain are at their worst him who knew no sin God makes to be sin for us. He dies forsaken that we might never be forsaken.

Mat.-27:50- Jesus utters his final words with a loud voice ?IT IS FINISHED.?this cry signifies the end of his suffering and the completion of the work of redemption. The debt for our sins had been paid in full and the plan of salvation established.

It was the will of God that his son be sent to die on the cross for a lost world. Because of Jesus?death on the cross a great inheritance has been released to God’s people. Any gospel that does not preach the cross of Jesus and its demand for repentance, baptism in Jesus name, infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in another tongue and separation of sin living a holy life is doomed to failure.

All such efforts will be void of the presence of God and his spirit.

There will be churches everywhere this Sunday singing Kneel at the Cross Christ will meet you there. Would you do it for him ? The cross is empty would you endure the suffering and pain and agony of being forsaken by God? Would you endure the humiliation that he endured for us?

Thru it all I can see the love in Jesus?eyes [ Father forgive them they know not what they do.] that love stills remain.

It wasn’t the end when the last nail was driven, it wasn’t the end as the spear pierced his side. It wasn’t the end as he said ?It is Finished.?it was only the beginning the day that Jesus was crucified.

SEE the Cross was not a pretty thing. My last question you say you will do anything for him. Would you take up your cross and follow him knowing where it leads? AMEN
