you may be thinking about closing this board.  I joined recently, posted and yet no one even bothered to say hello.  It looks like there is nothing to pull this group together, and I don't have that kind of ability, so I will probably just leave.  I almost didn't bother joining because I could see there hadn't been many posts.

Here less than 72 hrs & already there's a tantrum?

A lot of groups don't move fast.  People have lives.  We have clutter to conquer.  It makes us busier than most.  We have splendid manners WHEN we get here, unless (& I speak only for myself) peeps are rude first.

Get over it <waves goodbye to the rude peep & doesn't really care>

WHY are some peeps so short-tempered & nasty like that BTW?  Do they think because they are on a computer, the peeps on the other side of the monitor have no feelings & they can be rude & insulting with impunity?   I'm not gonna miss her.

Well Greenie -- I've been here the longest and I too feel disappointed when there isn't much chit chat going on. The whole idea of a support group is for each of us to be there for the other one. It is as important for you -- speaking to all members -- to acknowledge what someone has shared, as it is for you to have a place to come and talk about your frustrations, or goals, or achievements, or good ideas, or tips, etc. One of the drawbacks of the computer is that it allows people to become passive. When I was in an actual support group some years back, when someone was talking we would not interrupt, but we often nodded our heads, or said "mm-hmm" or otherwise acknowledged what the other person was saying. And afterwards, maybe one or two of us would talk about a similar feeling or experience. So, for this group to function as a support group, there needs to be feedback. Nobody says you need to be Shakespeare, just be who you are -- Greenie shares a lot, I just know there's so much more that other members could bring to this group. So, I don't know that being disappointed is really being rude - Brenda

It was the time frame that got me....it was like 2 & a half days FFS, tisn't like she waited weeks or months for someone to come by so I thought it was excessive to flounce so fast
