I have been glaring sternly at some things that I do like (& somethat I ain't fussed so much over) & thinking that they're just not RIGHT.  It's like I got too much over here & this don't really match that over there....so I been reinventing my possessions by moving them around.  You oughta try it sometime, acuz it's like getting all new stuff & you didn't have to go shopping or spend money or bring more clutter into the house

I have major hauling out and cleaning to do before I can re-arrange anything.  At this point, I can't even see my loveseat or chair! LOL
Sounds like a good plan for when I can though.........
Just think, for me it will be like having new furniture, cause I haven't seen it in so long, I don't even remember the pattern on it!

LOL at Grammybear!
My spare bedroom has a daybed in it.  I don't remember if it has blankets and sheets on it or not as it has been "out of sight" for so long!

On one of those many decorating shows that are on cable TV these days, I think it's called Freestyle Design, they take things from other rooms and sometimes take things OUT of the room, and rearrange everything, and Voila! it's a brand new, fabulous room. I also remember something for a decluttering workshop I took in which the workshop leader advised us to "shop at home," as in look around to see what you already have before you buy something. Another interesting tip she shared was "the invisible box." This has to do with getting over feeling like you have to fill every square inch of a cupboard, or shelf, or other storage area. You imagine an "invisible box" where you might otherwise have crammed yet another item. You also bring to mind something I've noticed over and over on "Clean House" and "Clean Sweep" -- people cling to all these objects -- from salt shakers to their wedding dress -- because they supposedly hold so much meaning and value to the person holding onto them --- BUT they almost always are on the bottom of a closet, or you cannot see them because there's so much other crap on the shelf, or in the room, or wherever. They do not have a "place of honor." So, another good reason to get rid of extraneous junk is so that you can LOVE and SEE and APPRECIATE and SHARE a few items that really do mean something to you. -- Brenda

I did a lil rearranging with the bathroom decor & switched stuff's places acuz that bottom shelf stuff just couldn't really be seen at all, so now I just hurled some decorative round papier-mache boxes that I painted to match yonks ago down there & brought the more interesting stuff like the Mexican celestial plate & the lil tealight "lamp" with its star-spangled shade up top where it can be appreciated better

The shelf thingy is actually one of those low 3-shelf painted gold metal "telephone tables" from like the 60s that was also reinvented acuz it fit perfectly in the spot between the vanity & the toilet   My old bathroom had a HUGE vanity top & this one not so much, & I hated to just pack all my fun celestial stuff away as I made most of it & enjoy looking at it.  Unfirtunately when you think "bathroom" you do not think "dust" LOL so I gotta work on that as well.

I rearranged my kitchen countertops this past wk   I was rather disgusted as the cabinets are in an L-shape & broken up by sink, stove, & fridge to the pt where there is NO place to put the microwave except where I had it in the corner, otherwise it has to go in sideways on top of stuff & looks stoopid   But the rest of it looks better methinks   And my didn't my appliances change color when wiped down
